New Arc Line - Arcanum-inspired, modern Party-Based RPG

Yikes, Codex been skipping on the schizo meds for a while, it seems. Game seems interesting. Concept is good, 3D models and artstyle seem pretty good, animation is B tier, didn't expect anything else from lower budget title, voiceovers sadly also seem kinda off, about on par with stuff like The...

The Thaumaturge - supernatural RPG set in early 20th century Warsaw from Seven: The Days Long Gone devs

Finished the game, it was pretty good, the recreation of 1905 Warsaw was (I imagine) very good, very atmospheric, the ending might have required more time in the oven, with some of the choices I made, I got a very anti-climatic ending at first, it's a bit obscure what the game wants you to do to...

The Thaumaturge - supernatural RPG set in early 20th century Warsaw from Seven: The Days Long Gone devs

The game lets you basically brainwash your sister, removing her Flaw (Ambition), and probably turning her from a feminist, pants-wearing girlboss, into a traditional 1900s Polish housewife. So some of you might like it.

Game News Zoria: Age of Shattering Released

Hey don't bash the Poles, they're innocent (on this one). It's my Romanians that are at fault for this.

It might be the fault of UE5.

KickStarter Zoria: Age of Shattering - a party-based RPG with base management

Liquid cooling required? Damn, must be an Intel CPU then.

    Game News The Thaumaturge Released

Any other voiceover other than English should be considered a bonus, or a show of love from the devs to a particular country, because they are much, much, much more limited in the effect they have. Japanese games get a pass from this, because their VO industry is so big.

Game News Zoria: Age of Shattering Released

Am I dumb? Is there a way to start combat yourself, and not let the enemy run up to you and initiate combat? Apparently chosing the wizard class was a mistake, because I can only control the MC, meaning I am in front of the party, and every enemy gets to run up to me and get a free swing on my...

    Game News The Thaumaturge Released

Why do you think that matters, on the 'dex? You think we PLAY games or something? Nah, just bitch about them.

    Game News Unforetold: Witchstone cancelled

Just now realised, they were the devs behind Stories: Path of Destinies and Omensight. Sad to see them go, but I think this game was a bit more of a bite than they could chew.

    Game News The Thaumaturge Released

Only played the prologue so far, but it seems like you can explore to find stuff that opens up options in dialogue, letting you skip combat for example.

    Game News The Thaumaturge Released

Played the prologue. It's pretty janky, but premise is interesting.

    Game News The Thaumaturge Released

The butthurt must flow. (I don't care one bit, personally, but some of you will.)

Game News Steam Next Fest, February 2024: Demos of upcoming RPGs available from February 5th to 12th

Tried it, chose the 'scholar' background, 1st dialogue lets you bypass the fight by confusing the guard by unleashing a torrent of smart sounding words, and that's actually how it's described in game, paraphrasing, "you dazzle the guard with a bunch of smart sounding words" the writers were not...
