In Progress Lets play the best Storyfag RPG of all time: Betrayal at Krondor!

IIRC the serpents were only loyal to Alma-Lodaka..like specifically. The Valheru were united to fighting the gods but not one force.

Game News First demo for Call of Saregnar released to backers

I applaud your efforts, good sir. Feels like 1993 but handles like 2020.

    No Betrayal at Krondor. :negative:

The best structure for an RPG?

I like Betrayal at Krondor's structure best. A linear chapter progression to present the story and a lot of freedom within those chapters. Best of both worlds! After that I think number 4. It works for Fallout because there is a time limit. Titan Outpost does that as well, with complete freedom...

Vapourware RPGs that can legitimately be called masterpieces

Forgive me if I'm mistaken, but isn't that the other way around, where the original authors also made the game?

Vapourware RPGs that can legitimately be called masterpieces

Betrayal at Krondor. It may be the only game, to have its story adapted, by the original author of the setting, to a full-length novel with only minor changes.

Jail time, which 3 RPG games to bring

Betrayal at Krondor Dwarf Fortress (it was made for jail) X-Com if that is an RPG

Alrighty then. I just bought it. I must say it's looking good so far. Much better than I expected, even.

    Titan Outpost Release Thread

This looks interesting. I'm worried about the Steam reviews... Is it still buggy?

    Disco Elysium spoilery thread

I was... disappointed that a lot of things I thought possible didn't really appear to be part of the game on my second playthrough. A lot of smoke & mirrors, tricks you into thinking the game is more than it is methinks. I still enjoyed it, but I'm not going to finish it more than once.

    Finally finished Betrayal at Krondor

Crossbows have their use! but the only one worth your while after the first part of the game is in the Northlands. Replayability can be found in doing different sidequests in the early chapters, some are mutually excusive, and assembling Glamredhel's Revenge...stuff like that.
