4X The Unsurpassed Brian Reynolds' Alpha Centauri thread

It's an excellent game with the right people. I've played it a lot of times, I think this review does a good job to highlight the pros and cons:

    Magic the Gathering Arena

Dimir/Esper feel pretty good against Azorius control but I dunno how they go against the rest of the field.

4X The Unsurpassed Brian Reynolds' Alpha Centauri thread

Something like this? https://paeantosmac.wordpress.com/ Grotesque Brian Reynolds also talks specifically about what makes Alpha Centauri special during this (very long and good, conducted by Soren Johnson, designer of Civ4) interview...

Incline Stormworks - search & rescue with building vehicles

Hows the builder in this compared to FtD? I was very impressed with FtD keyboard building interface. And the physics? FtD was a pretty jank for aircraft last time I played but decent for ships and bad for ground vehicles.

Incline Stormworks - search & rescue with building vehicles

Looks like this borrows very heavily from From The Depths, although this theme is pretty interesting.

It's sad that tribes is more or less gone, but I guess it had a pretty good run with 3 solid games (T1, T2, TV), and Tribes Ascend to cap it off in 2012 was decent if not as good as the others. 14ish years run isn't...

Noita - magical action roguelike where every pixel is physically simulated

Made it all the way to the boss and was kicking ass with a very powerful wand (turns out those bouncy greens spells are legit all the way to the end with a damage+ buff and a high ROF), then my toes got stuck in lava and I melted to death :(

I always enjoyed having a full graveyard in Dwarf Fortress.

Noita - magical action roguelike where every pixel is physically simulated

Can those crawly green things even hurt you? I gunned a bunch of them down but they didn't seem to do much.

It's shown on your scorecard after you die.

Noita - magical action roguelike where every pixel is physically simulated

The enemy variety really amps up as you go down the levels - furthest I've been so far is the something something base at around 900m depth. The most annoying thing for me is trying interpret the stats of the wands into something meaningful. At a certain point you just start drowning in so...
