  1. Card-Based Marvel's Midnight Suns - Marvel universe card-based tactical RPG from Firaxis

I thought the combat seemed like it would be interesting, but when I watched a let's play video, it was mostly awful cutscenes and dialogue. Then, I saw some loading screen tip about how you can buy gifts from the shop to increase the friendship score between two characters. This really seems...
  2. Warhammer Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader - turn-based Warhammer 40k RPG from Owlcat Games - now in ALPHA

This got me to thinking of how many games let you trade out party members for actual mules. Dungeon Siege 2 is the only one I can remember playing. I had my main fighter and the rest of the slots filled with mules to carry my loot.
  3. How would the Death of Steam look like?

For me, it'd probably look like this.
  4. Community Celebrating 20 years of RPG News (NSFW)

Soon to be too old for Leonardo DiCaprio.
  5. The STEAM Sales and Releases Thread

Oh, hey, another indie "roguelike" deck-builder came out of Early Access today. It looks like somebody put "deckbuilding mobile game" into an AI image maker.
  6. Warhammer Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader - turn-based Warhammer 40k RPG from Owlcat Games - now in ALPHA

I wish games had an option to just turn off the cutscenes and jibber jabber that aren't directly related to stuff I need to do. Games journalists want to be able to turn off the gameplay, so they can get to the end, but I want the opposite. I am likely to give up on a game if you spend too much...
  7. KickStarter Knights of the Chalice 2 Thread - Augury of Chaos

    Middle letter in each word.
  8. Why I Hate Story Driven Games And You Should Too

Now I'm imagining God of War with the Double Dragon intro.
  9. A game of infernal thrones (Solium Infernum)

Neat. This is definitely unexpected. I was sad when Vic Davis seemed to stop making games, but a good remake of this in a real game engine will be nice. I do wish Armageddon Empires had been first, but I'll take either.
  10. Incline NoGrab September - Thread for those who want to, plan to or already did stop buying more games permanently

Me after buying a bundle that's cheaper than the one game I wanted:
  11. Looking for games like Xcom with both tactical and strategic layer

Hadn't heard of this one. Thanks, I'll check it out.
  12. Why is pickpocketing a thing?

I'm picturing the player character sticking his hand in someone's pocket and just feeling around to see what's in there to decide if any of it is worth stealing.
  13. Why is pickpocketing a thing?

I also like how there are usually no limits to what you can steal. I remember stealing a minigun from R. Lee Ermey in Fallout Tactics.
  14. Looking for games like Xcom with both tactical and strategic layer

Can anybody add anything from the last three years? I think Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate - Daemonhunters might fit.
