Grounded - shrunken kids first-person co-op survival game from Obsidian

Extremely painful to listen to Californians. The accent and intonations are unbearable.

    State of Decay 2

I quite liked the first one, got a refund 30 minutes into the campaign with this one. Boring, buggy, ugly, uninspiring.

Good one, felipepepe. Not an easy task at all, 5 Points: Crusader Kings 2 Heroes of Might & Magic 3 Starcraft + Broodwar Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri Half-Life 2 3 Points: Command and Conquer: Tiberian Sun UFO: Enemy Unknown The Longest Journey Homeworld Caesar 3 1 Point: Warcraft 3 Subnautica...

Baldur's Gate Baldur's Gate 3 Pre-Release Thread [EARLY ACCESS RELEASED, GO TO NEW THREAD]

First impressions: this is horrible. It looks, feels, breathes and shits exactly as a D:OS 2 reskin with BG3 logo unceremoniously slapped on it. Combat, origins, 4-man party, 3d portraits you name it. You can see D:OS 2 cogs and wheels behind every system. Cinematic dialogues resemble DA:I most...

Rock-Paper-Shotgun Top 50 RPGs on PC

felipepepe is not wrong, not the worst list one could expect from a mainstream gamejourno website, especially RPS with their new team of ladies and non-binary ewoks. Kenshi, NEO Scavenger, Anachronox, System Shock 2, Mask Of The Betrayer (49th place :D) and no Fallout 3. One thing to note: the...

    King's Bounty II

Dmitry Gusarov. Brains and heart of the old Elemental Games and Katauri (i.e. Space Rangers 1-2 and King's Bounty 2008). Sadly, as brilliant as he was/is, one of his dreams was to make a game in the vein of Ragnarok Online (don't ask), thus Royal Quest MMORPG. It was also a time when the Russian...

Ash of Gods: Redemption - Banner Saga-like with CCG elements

First impression: gorgeous art and wonderful music coupled with the most atrocious, mind-boggling horrible dialogues ever written. It's as bad in Russian, the translation is not the culprit here. Sneaky Seal, how you guys thought the writing is fine, is beyond me. If you're considering doing an...

Game News Russian studio Owlcat Games to develop Pathfinder CRPG, Chris Avellone onboard as narrative designer

To give it context, here's a brief loredump: Owlcat Games' creative director Alexander Mishulin is of the old Nival fame. He worked on Evil Islands, was lead on Silent Storm, Sentinels expansion & HoMM V. After that all went to shit, he wasted years on Allods Online and fucking Skyforge. I guess...

Game News Ash of Gods: Redemption, a lavish-looking Banner Saga-like, now on Steam Greenlight

This is kinda out of the blue. Visuals look nice. It's great that at least some Russian devs are making actual games instead of social gaming schlock being churned out these days. Glad to see Ivan Magazinnikov on the team, at least someone from the awesome Elemental/Katauri bunch is trying to do...

Game News Divinity: Original Sin 2 Kickstarter Update #21: Skill Tier Vote #2, Bobby Slavov hired as composer

No one can replace Kirill, but Borislav did some great job on Knights of Honor & he's good with ethnic instruments also, so I'm hopeful.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 Pre-Release Thread

These updates are nice except everytime I hear Larian's Kickstarter jingle I crack a bit on the inside. Kirill was such a talented and unique musician, such a shame. It will never be the same without you maestro Pokrovsky :salute:.

The STEAM Sales and Releases Thread

This Auction stuff is retarded alright, but that seems to be the GabeN way as of late. Not complaining much though since it's possible to get either a quick buck or some nice underrated game out of it. I succumbed and got me some Worlds of Magic at like quarter of its price. Just don't bother...

Interview Matt Chat 257: Feargus Urquhart on KOTOR2, NWN2 and Fallout: New Vegas

Had good laugh at 13:40. For a moment I was pleasantly surprised that *Josh would want to put titties in*. At first I was like :salute: but then realized it was actually *deities*.

Is the Fable series worth playing?

Anniversary my ass. It's not even a real visual upgrade to the original. New textures are a bit better but it's not HD quality in a PC kind of sense. What's worse is that it fucks up the visuals with retarded post-processing effects (see the blurry image above, also plenty of bloom) and at the...

Editorial Swen Vincke reflects on the development of Div:OS, reveals that it's sold over half a million copies

Hmmm... it may be wishful thinking on my part but Sven's choice of phrasing aka "well over half a million units" might imply that the sales are actually in the range of 600-700k. That would be nice. A million should be reachable in a sale or two in any case.
