  1. Alpha Protocol - RPS's impressions

Nope. Get a clue. The hypocrisy. And we are going to judge Avellones qualities based a guy who bitches on the internet and posts mostly nitpicking drivel. Forget everything that Avellones did well including Van Buren concepts because that isn't good for bitching. 90% is your bullshit...
  2. Alpha Protocol - RPS's impressions

That's a very bad metaphor but i will go along. Tell me a game you enjoyed and i show you a few turds in it, now tell me how you enjoyed it. No game is without a few "turds". Fallout 2 is considered a game with a quality bellow Fallout but still a very good game with good choices and...
  3. Alpha Protocol - RPS's impressions

Yes skyway you are pulling things out of your ass. Trying to cater to the biggest audience is what Fallout tried to do, it's also what Bloodlines tried to do. Anything is good material to bitch. Because a few odd things in the setting instantly makes everything crap and all dialogs bad...
  4. Alpha Protocol - RPS's impressions

You mean people like you who close their eyes to what Fallout TB combat is? Good point skyway. Some people say Fallout 2 was only inconsistent only in some places related to the setting but otherwise choices and dialogs are good. Your personal opinion is now proof of anything? Considering...
  5. Alpha Protocol - RPS's impressions

Let's see Fallout 3 got good reviews here at the Codex. It's considered an above average game (until rosh makes his review anyway). Fallout TB implementation was crappy as hell and yet Fallout was a great crpg. Still people think TB is what makes Fallout a Fallout game. Let's not go into the...
  6. Alpha Protocol - RPS's impressions

Wait skyway you already know that NV is going to be shit even without seeing any material? Your IQ must be like 200. You are amazing.
  7. Alpha Protocol - RPS's impressions

Yes just like Troika. Really dude, i can understand you didn't like the dialog and it looked uninspired and that your position will be negative like a good Codexer until you see something good. I'm ok with that. But you are not going to convince me the story is bad or that all characters are...
  8. Alpha Protocol - RPS's impressions

What setting and tone? The only thing you know is that it's a spy game theme and it's something about an alpha protocol. This is like bitching about a game and saying it will be shit because it has elfs and dwarves. I could have said the some thing about Troika but that doesn't count. Avellone...
  9. Alpha Protocol - RPS's impressions

DeusEx combat and AI was horrible. The strong point about DeusEx was exploration not combat and using all those different skills to find imaginative ways around maps. If they can provide this kind of exploration i don't really care much about the lame AI, but i guess we will have to wait and...
  10. Alpha Protocol - RPS's impressions

I recall you saying that MoTB writing was bad, but maybe i'm mistaken. AP ai fights back too and his lame but not as lame as in DeusEx. You can even block their path-finding by throwing a small crate at a door and they keep running. There's only an handful of complete dialog in one or two...
  11. Alpha Protocol - RPS's impressions

It's true about the writing. While FPS gameplay and AI looks passable (just like DeusEx right) i see nothing wrong with he dialogs. They look well written and reactions are ok. Judging dialog for one scene is like judging a book by reading the first page. You would miss a lot of cool books...
  12. Alpha Protocol - RPS's impressions

"The state that their games are always released in is just fucking ridiculous and unacceptable, and I'm not expecting any better from NV." So you never played a Troika game?
  13. No interparty banter at all in BG2

I only wish there was also a bug to disable alignment reactions. BG2 would be so much better.
  14. Interview J.E. Sawyer Interview By Grupo97

It's perfectly ok not to make games like art from a business perspective as long as you put quality in it and don't simply blame the mainstream for being dumb and use it as an excuse for lack of competence and lazyness. This is where game publishers have failed. The market is not only newbes...
  15. Preview Alpha Protocol Preview at Worth Playing

That wasn't very well worded but with a bit of reading skill it could be interpreted as the player won't be penalized for role-playing and every choice is a viable path which is what every good crpg does.
