    Yet Another Morrowind Thread

You're at the point where the main quest really starts to pick up pace, but idk what to say if you didn't find the quest immediately preceding it to be quite interesting.

    Vapourware Daggerfall Unity isnt Vaporware

To be fair, this isn't a "modern gamer" problem. People have been focusing on the non-dungeon crawler aspects of Daggerfall since the day it was released.

How many hours did you clock in on Skyrim?

Probably around 600, combined, across the Xbox 360 at launch and then the vanilla and Special Edition on PC. Granted, an enormous amount of that PC playtime is testing mods (which is arguably more fun than the game itself). Actual playtime engaging with the base game content? My guess would be...

    Vapourware Daggerfall Unity isnt Vaporware

The problem with shorter dungeon crawls is that they mess up the progression of factions. You end up getting too much reputation at too low of a level, and all of a sudden you're being sent out to kill Ancient Liches by your Knightly Order at Level 6. Something twice as big as the current...

Are developers too dumb to make good RPGs without publisher oversight?

publishers should employ me to go into dev studios and if one of the designers or artists has a bad idea, i get to spit on them until they stop.

Codex was buck broken by gay bear. Ass all open, head empty.

I couldn't be bothered to read this post while I take a shit, ergo it's too long.

Yeah, you can still get "free" training with Harder Barter but it's at substantially lower quantities. Consistently using trainers will be enough of a drain on your gold that you'll find yourself running out, or needing to stop before you do. It also means that you can't easily afford enchanting...

I love Hanafuda but you need to disable the cheap combos otherwise it's just too easy to win and rake in lots of money, even with Harder Barter limiting your money-making opportunities. Find a wealthy merchant and go nuts.

There's a really powerful quest stage system that would easily allow for this sort of thing. It exists in Oblivion and Skyrim with Oblivion Gate/Dragon spawn chance (0% before Kvatch, 25% after Kvatch, 50% after Dagon Shrine etc.). Just bump up the power level on the relevant enemies after...

    Tamriel Rebuilt keeps chugging along

Yeah, the yellow mushrooms have been one of the few reservations that I've had about TR's current art direction. The rest of the new assets have been fantastic, but this comes across as that weird interpretation of Morrowind's art direction that leads to nostalgia baiting ala Shivering Isles...

    Morrowind defiling continues - Skywind

My impression is that most of the zoomers in their early 20s have played Skyrim or know a fair amount about it via. meme/gamer culture. No metrics/data as you said, just my impression. I see people on youtube or whatever talk about it and they'll be younger than me (29).

    Morrowind defiling continues - Skywind

It depends on how we define the word "zoomer". Older ones (born 97-99) were within the target audience for Skyrim upon its initial release, as were a few more years' worth with the Special Edition release in 2016. A lot of our stereotypes about zoomers now primarily apply to those born in the...
