Why so many MMOdressing games and so few mmoRPG's?

Necromancer was for a long time - and probably still is - really powerful class in GW2, but you want to play necromancer, so that doesn't help you. The first expansion (Heart of Thorns) should still be a decent bump-up in difficulty, just don't go there with the mounts from the second expansion...

Why have dungeon crawlers either thin or thick walls?

Goldbox games already had different textures for different sides of a wall. Of course cartography programs don't have to care about wall textures and you can handle the few special cases where sides are functionally different (one-way doors, switches, ...) with enums (for example).

Anyone feel that Sid Meier games are fun for awhile then get boring quickly

Is there any kind of master switch to turn off all the automation? Everything seems to be automated by default. Just installed this game few days ago for the first time. And I remember being hyped for this game before release, then reading it was shit and not even trying it. lmao. Seems pretty...

Vapourware End State - turn-based tactics by Finnish lunatic - now available on Early Access(!)

Reading company data from prh.fi: - Iron Sight was declared bankrupt and deactivated in October 2021 - Finger Squad used to be Viima Games until November 2022. (Viima Games developed its only game Fail Hard for Android in 2014 and it was published by Fingersoft.) - Finger Squad's current...

Vapourware End State - turn-based tactics by Finnish lunatic - now available on Early Access(!)

Looks like Fingersoft (mobile game developer from the same town) could be their publisher now. Or maybe some closer kind of cooperation even.

Incline [Poll] Steam vs GOG. Which one do you prefer?

One extra Gog annoyance: DOS games that used to be available on abandonware sites as zip files that included only the game files are now on Gog where they are bundled with all kind of shit and wrapped in windows executables.

Slaves of Magic - tactical turn-based RPG inspired by XCOM and Guild Wars

Was this your own engine or did you at least have access to engine source code? These used to work earlier, but not sure if that's still the case #ifdef _WIN32 extern "C" { __declspec(dllexport) DWORD NvOptimusEnablement = 0x00000001; __declspec(dllexport) int...

Gloomhaven - roguelike dungeon-crawling adaptation of the board game

Very disappointing character design for player characters. Where's Barbarian, Wizard, Dwarf, Elf?!

    Helherron - a very addictive Nahlakh-like game

Finally I can have human-only party with decent stats for everyone.

Bards, Minstrels, Musicians, Larks, ... uh Music MFs

Bard subclasses (guitarist, drummer and so on) so I can make a full band of them. Could maybe spare a few spots for some roadies and a manager.

Decline Can someone explain what an idle mmo is

Are there any idle MMOs with hardcore PVP? With permadeath and full loot preferably?

Which programming language did you choose and why?

I thought that optimizing compile times is bad in professional environments. It cuts down on your downtime you could use for browsing Codex for example.

    Nevergrind Online - multiplayer blobber

I assume the kids get on the bus at the station and once you're in the dungeon, there's only your bus driving around. Correct?

    Crispy™ F1 Manager 22

Is this just Motorsport Manager with better graphics and official F1 license? Kinda disappointing if so.
