    Microsoft buys Activision Blizzard

Seems like everything is turning into a monopoly/duopoly/megacorp type of thing. Oh well. Guess I'll just play 80's and 90's and early 2000's games forever. Worked so far.

People News Chris Avellone grows a pair and fights back against being cancelled

"Greetings! My name is Guy Incognito. Say, wouldn't you agree that this Chris Avellone fellow doesn't stand a chance in court?"

    Diablo 2: Resurrected remaster

They're apparently keeping almost everything the same. Audio is remastered, and they're adding some more ambient noises (so a larger variety footstep sounds, more environmental sounds in the jungle). Only other changes I've heard of is shared stash, being able to see games outside your...

    Diablo 2: Resurrected remaster

This has got to be one of the dumbest threads I've seen. It's like the forum posts are now created by an AI that was given a starting set of GD posts and it's been stuck in a recursive loop of shitposts for years. People doing deep dive pixel analyzing to attempt to prove that the D2 paladin...

Ye gods, a proper "plane tickets, bitch" flame war.

CD Projekt's Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.0 + Phantom Liberty Expansion Thread

The drama is always better than the games. It's all you have to look forward to nowadays.

I will say the gunplay gets a lot better later on, when you get more levels and can do more damage. You can kill most enemies with a headshot.

Btw, this game is a lot more tolerable drunk. Suggest this strategy to those who can't get past all the shitty implementation of stuff.

CD Projekt's Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.0 + Phantom Liberty Expansion Thread

How are they gonna pull off multiplayer when they can't make singleplayer work?

CD Projekt's Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.0 + Phantom Liberty Expansion Thread

CDPR probably made a lot of money with this game but I don't know how good the future looks for them. Seems like their company strategy is built around CP2077, probably have a bunch of games planned, maybe all kinds of media projects, but the release of the game has been underwhelming and a...

CD Projekt's Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.0 + Phantom Liberty Expansion Thread

Lol. New patch borked the game for me. Freezing/stuttering, saving is somehow broken, not sure the performance is any better. On the release version I mostly had graphical bugs, now it's worse to play.

CD Projekt's Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.0 + Phantom Liberty Expansion Thread

Playing this game really reminds of some interview with a dev of Blizzard's cancelled MMO project Titan, where he said that they had this cool idea and when they finally got all the game systems working nothing clicked, it didn't blend together well, everything was kinda underwhelming. They...
