  1. Preview Mount & Blade Preview at Game Banshee

Ok, I take back some of the things I said. I don't think anyone wants reviewers to go off into reviewing the actual mods in detail, but mentioning there is a good mod system and active community makes a lot of sense.

Another issue is that if no one ever mentions mods, fewer people will be interested in them. Even a oneliner 'this game is very modable has some good mods worth trying out, but they lag behind the main game version.' might pique people's interest. Even game these days has mods, but to what...

Do you have brain damage, or something? I really don't get your issue. First off, a niggle but "very unique"? What exactly gives you the right to decide what's a valid reason to buy a game? How about music? Am I allowed to buy a game because it has good music? I doubt many people buy...
  4. Are all gamers that stupid?!

I was all set to agree with you but DU is right in this case. I don't seem very much flaming in there except by you. I have not played in ages, but the world generation is pretty random. Sometimes games are way too easy, other times way too hard. Sounds like the plump helmet thing is just an...
  5. Game News BioWare caves to pressure over Mass Effect copy-protection

I wouldn't mind shit like this if they promised to put out a patch after 5 years or if they go out of business which completely removes this so you are always guaranteed to be able to play. Even big companies like valve don't last for ever, let alone crap companies like bioware who are too...
  6. Game News Support Nazism by Supporting Grimoire

I couldn't agree more. Except about the comment about both US parties being to the right, though in a relative sense you could make that argument.
  7. Cleve Blakemore accuses the RPG Codex of bandwidth leeching

You've already said you would be shooting earlier int he thread. If you are shooting, a sniper can take you out, easily. Even shooting from an enclosure. You are saying here that you would be defending against some wretched ragtag survivors, but people like that would not survive in the first...
  8. Cleve Blakemore accuses the RPG Codex of bandwidth leeching

It's going to be really funny when the poison I put in his rice barrels kicks in.
  9. Game News Support Nazism by Supporting Grimoire

Bush is hardly right wing at all, except on religious and military matters. You could make a good argument he is the worst president ever, but he is fiscally not a conservative, and well, really just not a conservative. He's more like a corporate sock puppet, I guess. I'd say that Nixon was...
  10. Game News Support Nazism by Supporting Grimoire

Most blacks are too stupid and/or lazy to kill more than a couple people without getting caught. :D
  11. I have decided to violate my Grimoire NDA. Ask me anything

You know what's more valuable than reading? Thinking. When you actually think, very little of what you read tends to strike you as very profound.
  12. Cleve Blakemore accuses the RPG Codex of bandwidth leeching

A couple scavengers from some city come out. The first one gets fried by cleves probably imaginary napalm. The rest are pissed. One sets up a sniper position, the rest trigger his motion sensors. Cleve pops out, and gets a bullet in the head. It doesn't require much effort at all. I'd...
  13. Is there a certain double standard here?

Bioware's games really are less buggy. There are hundreds of bugs fixed by baldurdash but they are largely very minor. Every troika game was rife with bugs that never got patched and in bloodlines lots of unfinished content. Same with kotor 2.
