Why couldn't Obsidian make a commercially successful isometric RPG like Larian?

speaking of, does anyone know what is up with that dude? He started Digimancy Games years ago, and apparently Annie ended up there, but what do they actually do?

World of Darkness Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 - VTMB sequel from The Chinese Room - coming Fall 2024

The usage seems to predate 3.5e dnd in WoD cause checking the 2e VtM players guide from 1993 on libgen she appears throughout: As an esl it seems fair enough to me, especially in a context like VtM where the characters in fact might as well be female as male. I think I've seen it in college...

World of Darkness Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 - VTMB sequel from The Chinese Room - coming Fall 2024

Isn't it pretty common to use either pronoun or for the author to default to his or her own? IIRC they're both used freely in tabletop WoD material for indeterminate characters. I think people are overreading that line, "her" probably refers to the protag but a choice of clan is already...

World of Darkness Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 - VTMB sequel from The Chinese Room - coming Fall 2024

Looks nice enough but maybe that's the problem, it's kinda missing that grindhouse feel as someone called it from the original Bloodlines

World of Darkness Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 from Hardsuit Labs

I think it's maybe better for the game itself to preserve the ambiguity around Caine and the deeper layers of the WoD since that's part of what makes the atmosphere work. Juicing him for maximum momentary drama might be a detriment to Bloodlines since a loss for the setting dimishes the game as...

World of Darkness Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 from Hardsuit Labs

Agreed, I think White Wolf had a point because the idea of Caine, the ultimate figure (if he even exists) behind the ever deepening circles of bigger and bigger jerks that constitute VtM, being there for your little story makes the world of darkness seem just a bit smaller. Getting manipulated...

World of Darkness Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 from Hardsuit Labs

I think an established setting does have the advantage of giving the game a wealth of ideas accumulated over years to draw from or discard. It doesn't matter if the original material isn't high literature on its own, you can cut much of it out and put your slant on what you do keep like...

    Of female characters in RPG's

Eowyn did slay the fellbeast though and challenge the witchking, allowing Merry to backstab him. I think the quote is also a bit ambiguous; doesn't fall "down" in specific imply a fall to the ground rather than "falling" as in being destroyed? The former is what actually seems to happen in...

Trying to remember old fps game I played

Heavy Gear possibly? It's older and I'm not sure if it had contracts but the description of the UI seems to fit

You are easily amused Marcelo. I personally prefer my comedy to be of a more cereberal nature.
