  1. Kingdom Come: Deliverance II - Henry is back - coming 2024

After the original medieval RPG courted controversy over historical accuracy, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will feature "a wide range of ethnicities" The 2018 medieval action RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance is getting a follow-up this year that promises to be twice the size of the original game...

  4. The Japs do everything better

To put it better, he is outside the moment, frustrated about a potential future that he hasn't experienced yet, rather than living in the here and now.
  5. The Japs do everything better

I never said I was? Your advice is solid, and could help some other gamers though I think. Exactly. If the moment to moment actual playing of the game isn't fun, what is the point? There was a drama a while back when a games jouno type said that he felt Dark Souls should have an easy...
  6. The Japs do everything better

The problem is it doesn't fool a large portion of players anymore. Even ones who cultivate high "openess" and try to allow themselves to be willing participants, inside the illusion, hypnotically accepting the game's conceits on their own terms (essentially to be in a different state of...
  7. The Japs do everything better

And that is why 99% of RPGs are shit, as the Codex is well aware :)
  8. The Japs do everything better

People usually consider a cinematic musical score to be part of the full package of a piece of cinema, so I can see why people regard a game's soundtrack and art department direction to be part of the game. The dfference is that a game is meant to be enjoyed as an activity, a medium with...
  9. Incline Warhammer 40,000 Lore Thread

The aesthetics of 40K, plus how they have changed across editions, might be a topic worth diving into. The above model is undeniably cool. People want to dial the Cathedral quotient up to 11 understandably, have monumental statues everywhere, but like I said previously, perhaps many...
  10. Incline Warhammer 40,000 Lore Thread

Gorkamorka could do with a re-release itself :)
  11. Warhammer Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader - turn-based Warhammer 40k RPG from Owlcat Games

Cool, I was just about to ask exactly this :) I've been thinking of firing it up this week, but I'll leave it another month or something.
  12. Incline Warhammer 40,000 Lore Thread

Actually man, you were rude on the last page, so don't invoke my name. I just have a policy of not saying anything, if I have nothing positive to say about someone, rather than compounding the bad karma by firing their ego-defence up even more. I walk away, before it becomes some gay rivalry...
  13. Incline Warhammer 40,000 Lore Thread

Someone on the last page directly asked what lore changes there had been, and how we felt about them. That's the only reason the Necron thing was brought up.
  14. Incline Warhammer 40,000 Lore Thread

Agreed, that's it man :) Maybe when all is said and done, it's one of the few times I appreciated a faction having less individuality, as Skynet, say, in Terminator, is all the more horrific because it is a silent will directing essentially a race war on human life. I guess Oldcrons had a...
  15. Incline Warhammer 40,000 Lore Thread

What I meant is lore-wise, they were portrayed as endless in numbers, barely any having awoken yet, millions of years more advanced than any other faction, and united in purpose. Another existential horror on the level of the Tyranids. Now they are broken into dynasties, disunited, etc.
