Fallout Arcanum: Of Steamworks & Magick Obscura Fallout 2 Gothic 2: Night of the Raven Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer
  2. Planescape: Torment speed run

Beating Torment in more than an hour isn't much of an achievement. Hopefully Ekarderif, over at SDA, will actually finish his run of the game, since he's looking at just a little over 30 minutes.
  3. Unofficial Arcanum Patch (Original Thread)

I'm not sure if this is actually fixable, but throwing items really should take AP. I don't think the developers intended for players to be able to throw as many grenades as they want during a turn.
  4. The Living Village

Yeah, it was probably about 3-5 minutes in. I haven't really had a chance to fully test this out yet. I'll probably play around with it more this weekend and give some feedback.
  5. The Living Village

The game seems to crash fairly frequently during dialogs. The first time I played, it crashed when I asked Kenneth what he was doing. The second time it crashed when I asked him "What now?"
  6. Codex Top 10 Redux: Non-RPG edition

    1. Super Metroid 2. System Shock 2 3. Half-Life 4. Thief II: The Metal Age 5. Guilty Gear XX^Core This list changes fairly often, so tomorrow it would be different.
  7. Something different - snes emulation

Grinding isn't really necessary in Chrono Trigger. Right now, I'm trying to get through the game with my characters as low level as possible. I'm about to fight Giga Gaia, and Crono is still Level 1, Marle is Level 4, Lucca and Frog are Level 15, Robo is 16, and Ayla is 20. As long as you know...
  8. Divine Divinity 2

No, those are actual screenshots from the untitled sequel to Divinie Divinity. I remember them from when they were first shown two or three years ago. Larian seems to be hiring new people for a new RPG, so it's probably still in development, but they haven't released much information about it...
  9. The importance of motivation in RPGs

No, you were caught trying to hack into Citadel Station, and Diego offers to drop all charges if you remove SHODAN's ethical restraints. So you still have personal responsibility.
  10. Character - Skills

I find it difficult to critque the list of skills, since the creator usually knows what would be appropriate for the setting, but it looks good. I wouldn't worry too much about balancing the skills, as long as all reasonable character builds are feasible and fun. Being able to back out of...
  11. What is Synaesthesia?

I love the idea for this game. It's something very different, but it doesn't seem like you're trying to be different just to stand out. I think this could be a really cool project. I wouldn't mind programming for the game, as long as you don't plan on making the game with perl, Lisp, or...
  12. "epic" Morrowind

The Fallout 1 run was done by me, but there are quite a few mistakes. It can definately be done in under 10 minutes and I plan to redo it this summer. I'm also going to do a ToEE run that I think will take less than 10 minutes, thought I haven't timed it precisely.
  13. VD's sekret projekt - the first screen evar!

That looks pretty good. The graphics of the game world do their job well enough without getting in the way, so I have no problem with them. The dialogue interface looks decent, but could use a little cleaning up. It really looks better with something in front of all of the dialogue options to...
  14. GameDesign: Inventory

I'm in early design for a CRPG of my own, and I've worked out a an inventory system that I like. The player has normal slots for equipment, and he can also wear containers, such as sheaths, holsters, backpacks, belts, or pouches. The player has a maximum weight he can carry and each container...
  15. Development Info Obsidian's Third Game

I would really love to see a science firction RPG, especially a hard sci-fi setting like Transhuman Space.
