The Random Adventure Game News Thread

Hey guys, thanks for the share. Leaving aside the codex-standard edgy comments, Near-Mage is very much a point 'n click adventure, the button prompts are for the alternate way of playing it via direct control (if you've played Brok's prologue, that's exactly how it works, it was weird that we...

KickStarter BEAUTIFUL DESOLATION - isometric post-apocalyptic adventure from STASIS developer

Pyke I think Thurdsay's a great day to release. Anyway, what's really important is to have a kick-ass game, and a lot of people excited to play it, and you guys have both. It's going to go great for you. Congrats on pulling this off, it looks amazing!

KickStarter Gibbous - A Cthulhu Adventure

We're not sure what exactly your next game will be, but we do want to make another game set in the same universe at some point. Probably following the events of Gibbous, but it might be different enough not to be called a direct sequel

KickStarter Gibbous - A Cthulhu Adventure

Hey! Thanks :) I've written everything, with the exception of some of Don's lines, where he changed them substantially so they sound more like a noir detective's. I have to admit I mostly did it myself out of necessity, I'm very excited to have a writing partner for our next game, whatever it...

KickStarter Gibbous - A Cthulhu Adventure

Hey guys, just a quick heads-up that Gibbous is 20% off in the Steam WinterSale. That being said, my poor wallet. My poor, poor wallet. Here we go!

The Crimson Diamond - inspired by The Colonel's Bequest

I saw this at AdventureX, kept wanting to try it and didn't get a chance to. It looks STUNNING in motion. I love the dedication to the aesthetic - it makes the absolute most of the limitations.. Really, really looking forward to it.

We actually did listen to feedback and changed all of Buzz's voice lines (all 5000+ of them). They are way better now - the direction was all over the place, and they also had been recorded on various pieces of hardware, which really hurt the experience. As for Kitteh's voice - de gustibus, most...

Wadjet Eye Technobabylon: Birthright - sequel with 3D graphics

I finally got to talk to James this AdventureX after intending to for two editions and somehow not managing. We only briefly discussed TB2 and he said it's progressing at a pace that's comfortable to him at the moment, but it's progressing, so I have the feeling it will definitely happen...

KickStarter Gibbous - A Cthulhu Adventure

Thanks for the feedback, guys. Zann The intention with the puzzle design was to 1) avoid backtracking as much as possible, 2) make everything as logical and non moonlogic-y as possible. Turns out that translates into puzzles that are very easy to beat. Noted for the next game, but either way...

Wadjet Eye Old Skies - time travel adventure game from Wadjet Eye, now 2D again

I think it makes sense from a time and cost perspective. The leap from pixel art to 3D is huge, and I'm not sure it makes sense if you're an indie (unless you're a wizard at it like the guy above me)

Hey Jack! THanks for supporting us. About Kitteh, it's mentioned in the game several times that it's a dumb name that illustrates just what a slacker Buzz is, but she doesn't give a crap about names so it's all the same to her
