Yes. Not in the closest days, but before Thursday 2022 for sure.

Colony Ship Early Access Release Thread [GAME RELEASED, GO TO NEW THREAD]

AoD-like (at least) NPC schedules are planned, that should make the scenes more alive.

Still looks like it's trying to load an outdated save. Say, from combat demo. Added additional checks, thanks.

If I delete the saves folder, "Continue" is greyed out and unclickable. Any other hints?

Game News Colony Ship Update #51: Early Access on April 6th

No, I'm a programmer. Coding in frame flipping for portrait animations would be trivial, the problem is art. Those are mighty fine portraits, but drawing them really takes time. Adding one emotion (like pain on attack), given that it's just one frame, would double that time, thus the idea seems...

Unless some neural network would animate the expressions for us, with believable results, saving artist's time.

    Oldest AoD Screenshots (pre-Torque)

Here is the first published 3D screen, IIRC. Speaking of the 2D era, there are even earlier screens from the time when we were developing our tile-based SDL engine from scratch, before we had any real AoD art (or artists). Those are extremely ugly, though, and barely related to the game.

Colony Ship Update #46: Boosting Skills

Btw, I always have test PCs named after you, for the last decade or so. You've lived a thousand lives and died a thousand deaths, just FYI :)

People News Brian Mitsoda fired from Bloodlines 2

I would normally avoid commenting on someone's personality behind their back, but since the silence would be ambiguous now... no, I haven't noticed anything like that. We've had our differences in technical details, and sometimes I've felt that design changes were revealed to us (the ITS part of...

People News Brian Mitsoda fired from Bloodlines 2

I received my first email from Brian in Sep 2009, but we started working full-time on DS around Sep 2012. Released in 2014. That roughly equals to 4 full years with a small team, and we never had to wait for Brian. VtMB2 has been in development for a similar amount of time. I don't have any...

So what's up with those 50+ lurkers?

Do bugfixes count? Anyway, there is that story I wanted to become an AoD mod, still dwelling somewhere in the half-finished docs. So who knows, ask me closer to 2030s.

So what's up with those 50+ lurkers?

Like some people above, I'm here just to follow AoD development.

Game News Colony Ship Combat Demo Released

Noted. This is going to be low-priority though, so not for the next update or two.

Incline Colony Ship Combat Beta Thread

It is disabled since the update, isn't it? It was the first thing I fixed.
