    Caves of Qud (ROGUELIKE)

Was gonna finally check this game out, got excited about the mechanics, and then found out about the devs' hamfisted woke bullshit. Have modders fixed it?

    The Talos Principle 2

The most impressive thing to me, and I don't know how intentional this was, but... Many puzzles have "wrong" solutions that involve abusing the physics engine or breaking objects out of other puzzles, and it thematically fits the plot of the game.

Chrono Trigger fanboys really are a different breed of cunt

I don't understand why we're using difficulty to bash CT, when every Square game is pretty much trivial for an adult to beat.

Lufia 2 is indeed awesome, but its commonly-cited best feature - the ancient cave - is just an entire roguelike. Basically, roguelikes are a better genre than JRPGs. I have no idea how the writing would hold up, I haven't played Lufia in a decade or more... But I remember a lot of excuses to...

    The Talos Principle 2

Sad to hear, the first one was a masterpiece.

Chrono Trigger fanboys really are a different breed of cunt

Greatest JRPG, maybe. That soundtrack. Don't know that the gameplay would necessarily be that great after having played so many balls-hard dungeon crawlers, but at least it keeps things fast and you're always seeing something new. I just want to say I recently forced myself to finish Chrono...

    What are the best CCGs?

I bought singles for a competitive Battle Spirits Saga deck, but it might be dying already lol. In other news, went to Columbus for Shadowfist nationals, and got screwed out of first place by the timer of course. Second in Classic, second in draft, second in multiple VTES side events... Fuuuuuck.

Alone in the Dark Reboot from THQ Nordic and the writer of SOMA

The beginning sucks, but the game becomes more melee focused after you get in the house. Not a bad game overall.

Alone in the Dark Reboot from THQ Nordic and the writer of SOMA

Idk if the first AITD is "scary," certainly not to me at this point since I have such a long history with it... But it has a great spooky atmosphere nonetheless, mostly thanks to the audio. I remember New Nightmare doing a good job with its flashlight gimmick as well.

Fantasy Flight is a shit company.

    Library Of Ruina

Bought because I'll play anything resembling StS. Maybe the game is good, idk, I'm having a hard time accepting the dogshit rambling anime dialogue and every game mechanic having some proper noun that makes no sense in an attempt to sound cool. Wtf is going on with anything in this game?

Incline Elminage Gothic (former Japan only dungeon crawler)

Back attacked and everyone decapitated, level drained, etc. The possible outcomes of combat with everyday enemies are incredibly swingy. It would be cool if the legitimate methods of coming back from such setbacks didn't take too much time to be practical.

Incline Elminage Gothic (former Japan only dungeon crawler)

I gave up on this game... I like it in principle, but it's heavily dependent on save scumming, and each reload makes the whole thing mean less and less to me.

KickStarter Monomyth - A first person action RPG/dungeon crawler - now in Beta

I hate videos that could have been text, but in this case you probably want to see the features in action?
