    Gangsters: Organized Crime remake

Yes, although I don't think I played the sequel very much. It seemed to be a departure from the original in many ways.

    Gangsters: Organized Crime remake

Hey, thanks for the interest. Recently I've been working on a lot of bug-fixing, a little bit of refactoring, and finally getting to grips with the territory outline system. I've been trying to replicate the original's approach, which, although visually confusing when several gangster...

    Gangsters: Organized Crime remake

I agree that there is plenty of room to introduce visual interest. More natural, twisty roads is something I would like to achieve (it was one of the things I thought City of Gangsters did well). The blocks are indeed very Soviet, although that was how the original did it and I liked it there. I...

    Gangsters: Organized Crime remake

Hi, yes, I am still working on the project. I've been sticking quite closely to the original in order to make it easier for me to replicate some of its mechanics. For example, I've settled on a top-down view of the procedurally generated map that replicates the original's perspective, and I've...

    Gangsters: Organized Crime remake

Thanks, that's something to keep in mind and it shouldn't be too difficult to implement at the end of development.

    Gangsters: Organized Crime remake

Thanks, I know about that project, seems like it petered out after a while. Their pathfinding solution did give me some good ideas for how to manage my own, as I'm running into the same problems with a large number of agents (and the original supposedly supported 5000 if I remember correctly, a...

    Gangsters: Organized Crime remake

Sorry for such a late reply and thank you for the interest. I plan to continue working on this solo. I am a hobbyist and only have time to work on this when work/life permits so wouldn't want to commit to a group effort.

    Gangsters: Organized Crime remake

Thank you for the interest, but for now I think I'll keep working on this solo. I may reach out for some help with music or art.

    Pixel art gallery

That's a shame. I tried playing Serpent, but it seemed somehow too clunky, too stuck in the 90s in its mechanics and basic interactivity, although I did not play for long. They do have a knack for coming up with interesting visual styles, I have to give them that.

I totally forgot about Mechajammer. Is it not good? It looked really cool from the promotional videos, but I know nothing about its gameplay.

I love the style, the detail, the lighting, it's great. I would suggest only one thing: the player character seems to blend in with the background a bit, maybe making his colors slightly lighter would prevent that.

Added a radiation warning sound and a visual notification, but I'm not sure if it's noticeable enough.
