She can't be a barbarian. Fantasy barbarian men have big muscles and big... never mind. Fantasy barbarian women have big bazongas. Medium at the very least. Possibly some muscles. This thing has neither.

Then it is time for someone to make a game where Barbarian is the most OP class. And Wizards or Sorcerers are the worst.

Aletheia: Return of Odysseus - Greek mythology turn-based isometric RPG from Tavernking

I once saw a B class movie where Mayans in America were Christians - before year 1000 AD. There is also that movie where Egyptian undead mummies (and no, they weren't from Hellenic or Roman period) speak Latin. What mythology those two come from?

Indie Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter - Rat-Souls Sequel

Looks very pretty but not my kind of game. Also doesn't look very crpg-ish to me.

Realms of Antiquity: The Shattered Crown - Ultima-like retro RPG

Ridiculing people and games in "current day topics" is a prestigious endeavor! :smug: This one looks interesting, I had it on the wish/follow lists in Steam for some time but I have so many games, old and new to play that it's pointless to buy this one now.

Baldur's Gate Larian is moving away from D&D, no BG3 DLC or BG4

    Or Realms of Arkania 4k.

I so hoped for more dick customization options in the sequel. Not to mention panda bear sex. I'm gonna cry.

What drove BG3's success, game mechanics or emotional engagement?

I'm not sure if you are serious but there was opinion that Larian's previous games profited from good mp (as far as TB crpg can). Is it really the case in with BG3? I seriously doubt it but i'm not following this... thing so i ask.

    [Poll] Metahumans

I suppose, in my hypothetical Darklands-like i'm planning and will never make, I would allow metahumans as monsters - but very rarely and not the usual Tolkienesque kind if i can. Possibly, even more rarely, like once or twice in the game, a metahuman NPC. A character similar to Lady of the Lake...

Jagged Alliance 3 from Haemimont Games

No one reads soviet history books from cold war era nowadays. Whatever you two are talking about has nothing to do with those.

Owlcat's next game is an AAA title that will need full voice acting to compete with BG3

Owlcat and all other AAA (if we count Owlcat as one at this point) developers can go to hell. In fact they should go there as swiftly as possible. I had to say it.

KickStarter Hibernaculum - sci-fi survival horror dungeon crawler from Wormwood Studios' Victor Pflug

Sure, the only problem i have is that i subjectively dislike EOB combat and also think it's objectively bad. Combat based mostly on the ability to press buttons on regular basis - and i don't even mean button(s) to attack but to "dance" before enemies - is bad. Still, i respect your choices, at...

Well, this means I - and several people who posted in this thread - probably are not the target audience anymore. Perhaps we never were. Sad but there are many games, old and in the making, I am interested in. More than the amount of time I have to play them so not a big loss.

Seems interesting with one - major - exception: combat is jrpg-ish, at least from what is shown. I like the looks of the game, gives early/mid 90s and Amiga vibes in a good way. It would be a waste if the game turned as good as it looks but with shitty combat system.
