Decline Your Most Hated Gameplay Elements? (poll)

I can still remember the days when people used to complain about how Fast Traveling ruins game immersion. Good times.

Dragonlance Lawsuit dropped without prejudice, DL authors excited say announcement coming

Oh yea, Bupu was a Gully Dwarf. Well, it has been 20 years so my memories are a bit hazy.

Dragonlance Lawsuit dropped without prejudice, DL authors excited say announcement coming

As someone who read all the 10+ major Weis & Hickman Dragonlance books as a kid, I had never even heard of Gully Dwarves before reading this thread. But I'm sure they play a major role in the Dragonlance canon.

Any tips I should know about before I jump into Darklands?

I'm just going to revive this thread. Why? Because Darklands. That's why. Is it actually feasible to play as a complete murderous bastard? Can you actually benefit from doing evil deeds and letting your Virtue and Reputation fall? Can you for instance make a deal with the Devil, do quests for...

What is THE single most underrated game of all times?

Celtic Tales: Balor of the Evil Eye https://www.myabandonware.com/game/celtic-tales-balor-of-the-evil-eye-2cu Works in Dosbox without issues.

    Incline Jagged Alliance 2 Help

I couldn't agree more. 1.13 is great for veterans, but is so jam-packed with features it's very overwhelming to start out with. I haven't tried Straciatella, but if it basically simply makes the original game playable on Win10 on original resolutions, this is absolutely the way to go first time...

Doom now runs on potato power

Fake News. It's not the real Doom, it's just some garbage calculator port. We need a REAL MAN to actually make the real Doom run on potatoes, not some lazy ass quitter like this guy.

Baldur's Gate Baldur's Gate 3 Early Access Thread [GAME RELEASED, GO TO NEW THREAD]

I wasn't referring only to character creation, but how the rules overall are implemented. You might be right about 5th edition being systemically more complex, but I'd still argue BG3 doesn't offer players as many meaningful choices with regards to character development as especially BG2 did. In...

Baldur's Gate Baldur's Gate 3 Early Access Thread [GAME RELEASED, GO TO NEW THREAD]

You're right about skill points, but I went into BG3 expecting something similar to 3.5. The 2.5 of prior games had it's own complexity: THACO, rogue skill points, numerous ranks for each weapon skill etc. So BG3 is DEFINITELY NOT true to the spirit of the prior games.

Baldur's Gate Baldur's Gate 3 Early Access Thread [GAME RELEASED, GO TO NEW THREAD]

I'm still in shock due to realizing there are no skill points in 5th edition. Everything is so incredibly dumbed down it's beyond depressing.

What is good exploration to you?

It's like that stuff Dr. Peterson talks about!

What is good exploration to you?

Great poll options! Thanks OP. One options is however missing: - Exploring areas that are interconnected and logically consistent with the lore and overall artistic design of the world. Here the exploration and discovering the world is a reward in itself. Examples: Dark Souls, Wizardry 8.

Baldur's Gate Baldur's Gate 3 Early Access Thread [GAME RELEASED, GO TO NEW THREAD]

    - Names of cities like BG and Waterdeep. Every other character mentions the city of Baldur's Gate and it's completely infuriating. - Names of gods and the associated lore. The Dead Three etc. - There's also at least one character in BG3 that also appeared in BG1.

Baldur's Gate Baldur's Gate 3 Early Access Thread [GAME RELEASED, GO TO NEW THREAD]

After playing 15 or so hours, the game is mostly a disappointment. It has barely anything to do with BG. The game has a habit of namedropping some references, but they only manage to annoy anyone familiar with the original games. Writing is across the board below average. World building is...

Baldur's Gate Baldur's Gate 3 Pre-Release Thread [EARLY ACCESS RELEASED, GO TO NEW THREAD]

At least there's no way this could be any worse than the other "spiritual successors" we've been fooled to purchase over the years.
