  1. Dragon's Dogma II - "They’re masterworks, all – you can’t go wrong"

I wonder how common dragonsplague actually is if they feel the need to reduce the frequency of it occurring. In the 80 or so hours I played the game I've only seen the tutorial notification when I hired a pawn in the rift, but I don't think I ever got to see the symptoms on my pawn.
  2. Baldur's Gate Larian is moving away from D&D, no BG3 DLC or BG4

It's going to be Dragon Commander 2
  3. Dragon's Dogma II - "They’re masterworks, all – you can’t go wrong"

If you exclusively do the game's main story you can probably easily go through your first playthrough in like 20 hours. An overwhelming amount of the game's 'meat' is getting side tracked by random shit in the open world areas.
  4. Dragon's Dogma II - "They’re masterworks, all – you can’t go wrong"

That happened to me. I kept returning to the girl after waiting for several days but she'd just say she was still studying. I figured the quest was just bugged but on a whim decided to go to the mortuary in Vermund and found out her body was there. Not sure how she'd died but after I resurrected...
  5. Baldur's Gate Larian is moving away from D&D, no BG3 DLC or BG4

Full quote: Granted that Larian undoubtedly ended up rolling in money from BG3 I still hope they dial down the scope and try to limit themselves. Even if it's what the modern market wants having janky MoCap cutscenes for whenever you talk with random NPCs must be an absolute black hole on the...
  6. Manor Lords - medieval city-building with large scale battles

I feel kind of sorry for the dev if he feels that he has received enough messages to warrant writing a blogpost saying what kind of game the game isn't meant to be. I scrolled through the game's steam forums and subreddit for a bit and saw a surprising amount of comments and requests from people...
  7. Baldur's Gate Larian is moving away from D&D, no BG3 DLC or BG4

I feel like the safe guess is to just assume they'll make another game with gameplay similar to the two D:OS games and BG3, but with a smaller scope
  8. Manor Lords - medieval city-building with large scale battles

One minor thing that I hope gets changed during development is the game's UI. The dev has thankfully at least put some level of thought into it and made many of the interfaces some thematically appropriate elements like scrolls, but all the icons and the text next to the UI elements look very...
  9. Manor Lords - medieval city-building with large scale battles

When it initially was announced like 4 or 5 years ago people took notice of it because it was a one man project (at least at the time) and because it was a city builder with higher emphasis on combat. From what I recall the creator uploaded a couple of tech demos and videos showing units moving...
  10. Larian General Discussion Thread

Can't blame him for not wanting to be constrained within a pre-made ruleset, but honestly I think it ultimately did them a favour since it (somewhat) dampened the amount of nonsense they most likely would've experimented with like exponential stat increases whenever you level up, the DOS2 armour...
  11. Dragon's Dogma II - "They’re masterworks, all – you can’t go wrong"

Same thing happened to me. I scoured through all of Vermund trying to find it but eventually ran out of time. Much later on when I had unlocked Trickster for the seeker token sensor I ended up coming across it in the one place I (apparently) had overlooked. I wonder if the token carries over to...
  12. Larian General Discussion Thread

I'm not sure if the Polish studio will be involved with writing. After looking through the descriptions of each of their six (6) other international studios it sounds like the writing's mostly handled by the studios in Ireland with some help (though seemingly mostly related to cutscenes and...
  13. Dragon's Dogma II - "They’re masterworks, all – you can’t go wrong"

I'm like 99% sure there are unique voice lines for pawns discovering seeker tokens. It probably depends on their inclination/voice but mine always said the same 'aught catches the light' when it marked a seeker token. The downside to this is I think it requires the pawn to have preemptive...
  14. Dragon's Dogma II - "They’re masterworks, all – you can’t go wrong"

I wouldn't say so, I imagine I was in a similar spot although I didn't keep track of the playtime/hours. DD1's quest design was still sitting in the back of my mind so I deliberately tried to avoid anything that felt like it was remotely related to the main story in order to explore side areas...
  15. Dragon's Dogma II - "They’re masterworks, all – you can’t go wrong"

I've been working on cleaning up side quests, unlock all the vocations I want, explore all accessible areas and so on. All that's left in my journal is a quest called How much of the game do I still have left?
