    Online PnP Options

There is a way to do this that I have seen, but can't recall how to exactly execute. It allows you to keep exactly how many hexes you travel through in a non-linear line. Something like pressing Ctrl-Shift while clicking the token and then the subsequent points. But yes, it is not the Second...

    Online PnP Options

I'll answer with a bit of an update... I've gotten back in PnP using online tools pretty big since I made this post on two different fronts. First (and my favorite) is using a site called Roll20. This is really a great system, as it has a pretty good size user base, it allows for a lot of...

People News SHOCKER: Chris Avellone leaves Obsidian Entertainment

Isn't it obvious? With Fallout 4 coming out this year, Obsidian has already been hard at work making a FO game that actually is good. Fallout: Big Apple Release Date - December 2016

    The Mass Effect 3/BioWare Thread

It just seems funny that they would attempt to make a fuss out of it. It's a Bioware game - of course it's going to have DLC. How is that huge news for the franchise? Hype train, full steam ahead.

    The Mass Effect 3/BioWare Thread

So... not a new DA game, but something big for the DA franchise this year. I'm guessing DLC, an expansion, a remaster of the first two games on next gen consoles or Bioware finally giving up the ghost and moving to an MMO model. Any takers?

    The Mass Effect 3/BioWare Thread

Color me ignorant, but is DICE, the EA-owned developer that created the Battlefield series and the Frostbite engine, different than the DICE that puts on the DICE Awards?

Was Dragon Age: Inquisition a commercial failure?

Even if was "first week sales" for sucker pre-orders, I'm surprised. ME3 had nine levels of hype around it prior to release - I'm surprised it's numbers are higher than even that.

Was Dragon Age: Inquisition a commercial failure?

It's a totally accurate statement - four consoles. That's more console than any game in Bioware history! The amount of sweeping under the rug for that earnings call is hilarious. The fact that they went the GOTY!!!! route as well is laughable.

Did Bethesda screw up with level scaling or is it necessary?

Agreed. An interesting system that come to mind are Betrayal at Antara, which let you level up by doing in a manner similar to TES games but only let you reach a certain level within a certain area. This also was complimented by their magic system, which allowed you to unlock different spell...

Shadowrun Shadowrun: Hong Kong Pre-Release Discussion [GO TO NEW THREAD]

If they could actually get them to copy a lot of the gameplay of the Shadownrun Unlimited mod I think that would be best. Different hacker skills to level up, different upgrades that do different things, more hacking missions that aren't on the crit path, things like that.

Retardo Does anyone know what this thread is about?

Why? It takes fifteen hours, MAX, to blaze through both with fast travel and objective markers. It's not like the game requires you to slog through 60+ hours to complete the main quest. I'm not defending it, by any stretch. But it's not a Herculean effort to do, either.

Vapourware Best Chance to Make 2D Party-based RPG?

I would ask what you intend to do? What's your game like? What type of dialogue do you want? Branching narrative? Roleplaying options? Character creator? What kind of combat? Turn based? ATB? RTwP? Non-combat skills? Stealth? Traps? Puzzles? The more complex your system, the more it pays...

Was Dragon Age: Inquisition a commercial failure?

There may be no REASON for it... but it helps pass the time until PoE comes out.

Was Dragon Age: Inquisition a commercial failure?

I'll stop right here, because I flat out don't get this dismissal of VGChartz. Are they accurate to an exact reflection of how many units are sold? No, of course not. But do they give very accurate prediction models that vary due to sample selection? YES. Anyone who says VGChartz pulls numbers...

Was Dragon Age: Inquisition a commercial failure?

If by "long time," you mean the EA 10-Q Q3 2015 Release here in less than two weeks... then sure. I, personally, don't find the passage of less than twenty days to be so tedious - but that's just me. EDIT: Also, 3.6M for a game four and a half years in development IS a flop. Bethesda can do it...
