Game News Stoneshard gets updated prologue demo, releasing on Early Access on February 6th

I refuse to play any more games that look like they were made for the super nintendo.

KickStarter BATTLETECH - turn-based mech combat from Harebrained Schemes

Just take a year off of the game and forget about it. I've purposely left it alone (even while craving urban maps) since my first career play-through because I knew it would get stale. Come back in a year, forget about the stupid story mode, run a new career with the DLC, drink some beers...

What game are you wasting time on?

OBJECTION! (insert meme). Phoenix Wright games for the 1st time. They're not always logical, and there's some magic ooga-booga, and it's Japanese.. But it's charming and it actually does encourage real deductive reasoning. Also decided to start the whole Fire Emblem saga at the beginning...

    The Elven question.

As far as I understand Elvin bio-chemistry: Elf-cum literally cures autism, cancer, aids, urban gun-violence, islamism and christ-ism, black death, buubonic breath, cancher ssores, jorge sr soros,, drunken-titis,, halitosiss, trychinosis, spina-bifida, certain forms of retardation, etc...

Game News Dark Envoy is a steampunkish non-linear turn-based tactical RPG from the makers of Tower of Time

Tower of Time was interesting and fun at first but quickly devolved into an extremely tedious dungeon crawl. The story from the beginning seemed to hold promise, but it maintained the same somnambulistic tone throughout to the point where I quickly stopped giving a fuck. The loot was ultimately...

There has never been a game with even very good writing.

Do you not understand that your proving my point?

New Vegas' storyline was so easily broken, I will not tolerate appeals to its greatness. Both times I played that game, I inadvertently screwed up the narrative so early that it was just a mess of non-sequiturs.

Honestly those video links just remind me how much worse voice acting in games used to be.

Would you rather read the source material or play either of those games?

The Book of Three is a high fantasy novel. Jesus fucking Fudgefuckers. Have any of you ever read a fucking book in your life that didn't involve "Lightning Bolt! Lightning Bolt!"?!

Keeping hope alive, but doubting it. Not even saying "Great Literature." No game writing has even been on the level of say Bradbury, a very good, but not great, science fiction writer. Games are not conducive to great, propulsive narrative, unless you put the player on a track - the amusement...

"The Magicians is a new adult fantasy novel by the American author Lev Grossman, published in 2009 by Viking Press. It tells the story of Quentin Coldwater, a young man who discovers and attends a secret college of magic in New York. Wikipedia" If you're still reading trash like this then...
