    Anime Your test site sucks

And that was a mistake. The only feature in new layout that I like is the subtle gradient shift in posts' backgrounds, instead of alternating between lighter and darker solid colors. Everything else absolutely scales to your level.

    RTS Starcraft

Cerebrates being vulnerable only to Dark Templars' space magicks is also jank. Same with Overmind needing crystal macguffins to move its spiky, fat ass to Auir. There are plenty of details like that to nitpick if you want to. But that doesn't change the fact that story and writing serves it...

NSFW Best Thread Ever [No SJW-related posts allowed]

Not really, you need a conscious effort, consistency and dedicated practice to git gud above certain level. If you're just playing for recreation, it will only get you so far, no matter the hours spent.

    Alien: Isolation

J_C Nah, the alien was already close, and yet she chose to spend time to switch to rifle to kill him, instead of just pulling the trigger on flamethrower, which she was firing immediately before. So yeah, I'm quite sure that in the movies (Alien and Aliens, the only ones that are canon)...

    Alien: Isolation

Also, in this scene from Aliens: Ripley uses flamethrower only to fry eggs, but switches to rifle whenever she targets xenomorph drones. Even the one that was sneaking up behind her, which was pretty close range when she killed it (judging by the angles of where she was pointing her rifle)...

    Alien: Isolation

Not to a point where it's so obvious that would severely hamper their effectiveness as such weapon tho'. Also, now that I'm thinking about it, didn't the flamethrower idea, which Nostromo's crew came up with and improvised because they didn't have access to anything better at hand, failed...

    Alien: Isolation

Isn't it kinda silly, the Engineers, whatever that race which created Xenomorphs are called, managed to gave them acid blood, made them super strong yet super stealthy, and on top of that tough enough to resist even vacuum of space no problemo, but couldn't fix a pretty obvious weakness of them...

    RTS Starcraft

I consider CoH and all the successors and spiritual successors (e.g. first WH40k DoW, Iron Harvest etc.) as RTS/Tactics hybrid and thus different genre. Definitely closer to its RTS roots than let's say DOTA-like games, but nonetheless different enough. But if you want to place them next to the...

    Europa Universalis IV

So, Leviathan still isn't fixed, I presume?

    RTS Starcraft

No, not at all. There are 3 major "strains" of games in RTS genre. First one is Command&Conquer style, started by Dune 2, where you usually have a base you need to manage, but the game is mostly about microing your units after you've found a right combination of them, necessary to win the...

Warcraft III: Reforged - now with lowest user metacritic score of all time

My impression was that UED viewed Zerg exactly the same way Wayland-Yutani viewed xenomorphs.

Warcraft III: Reforged - now with lowest user metacritic score of all time

It very well might be, but that just indicate that Koprulu Sector is a rather huge swath of space, if Zerg weren't able to find Auir despied looking for it for how long exactly? Millenia? But it also in no way contradicts the fact that Overmind wasn't interested in expansion in Koprulu for the...

Warcraft III: Reforged - now with lowest user metacritic score of all time

Overall, Starcraft's writing was genius, not because the story itself was a particularly great work of art, but because it was consistently compelling enough to hold your interest throughout all of its campaigns, managed to avoid major plot holes, and was flexible enough to explain away in...

Warcraft III: Reforged - now with lowest user metacritic score of all time

Zerg main objetive was Protoss' homeworld, not Koprulu sector. Humans only became a side project for Overmind because of Ghost project and them starting to dabble into psi tech. And not even important side project, because once Overmind stumbled upon knowledge of Auir's location, it immediately...

    Europa Universalis IV

I feel like wasting another day playing EU4, so here's a question: has Leviathan been patched into something playable already, or should I stick with the Emperor?
