KickStarter System Shock 1 Remake by Nightdive Studios

Engineering being far from Maintenance and Energy Systems - Eh, I've been to enough facilities that are inefficiently laid out like that IRL to not care. Plus they added a log about Citadel being 'intentionally made maze-like to induce anxiety in the staff, because that would increase...

LGS could dialog tree just fine, they did it before in UU. I think that it's more just that once you're a cyborg, there's no going back. She may not even be continuing to use the conversion chambers, since the crew managed to isolate them from her, which is why you're even able to use them...

KickStarter System Shock 1 Remake by Nightdive Studios

Story difficulty 3 reinstates the original "only resurrect if you've activated the resurrector on the same deck" behaviour.

Broken Roads - turn-based Australian post-apocalyptic RPG with "unique morality system"

Such a perfect mental image. So this is an ATSI thing - They have this ancient belief that you should never speak the names of, or play audio or visual recordings of, the dead. Obviously this is very impractical in the modern era, so we just tell them it's going to happen and they'll have to...

That is rather annoying, because I was going to just load a save in the Throne of God to see the new improved yet somehow still shit final boss. Ah well.

I'll admit that my word choice of "great" was not the best, but "a poor Descent clone" was more or less my expectations for it. Agree that resetting the instance sucks though, but you can't expect 2020s devs to implement that sort of persistence.

Cspace is great imo, but probably not if you had issues. The final cspace section still looks to be a shit "on-foot", completely invalidating the rules of how cspace works vs meat space.

RimWorld - Damned Colonists in Space

I've been playing on 1.5 for the last few weeks with a cut down mod list and its been refreshing. I don't use a lot of the more out there mods under normal circumstances though, I mostly focus on QoL and logical improvements over adding 13 different varieties of catgurl, which means most of the...

Dune: Spice Wars - 4X/RTS from Wartales developers

Using a nuke will help with destroying a Main Base, but it won't guarantee it. Specifically, it will take out half of it - It used to break half of the base's armour before the combat rework. It also sets your Landsraad standing to zero, so expect Punishers to show up on your doorstep every...

    Grand Strategy Victoria 3

Well yeah, they're reskinned Federations from Stellaris.

Dunno about MP with randoms, but a game typically takes 2-3 hours, it has variable speed so if everyone's comfortable with the game you could bump to x2 and complete it in 1 and change.

Dune: Spice Wars - 4X/RTS from Wartales developers

Campaign maps (as in the Conquest campaign) will mix it up, changing the maps (maps with no spice, maps with no sand, etc) and objectives (you'll get missions that require you to win certain ways or one case I saw was a mission where you have a Hero, 10,000 Solari, and can only hire mercenaries...

Starsector - RT 2D indie space goodness

Starsector modders in shambles. Apparently some YouTuber put up a video that had 3 seconds of footage from Rapesector in it as a joke. Note that this is still Starsector, any interactions are going to be entirely text. Said YouTuber got banned from the Unofficial Starsector Discord, which is...

Incline Troubleshooter: Abandoned Children - isometric tactical Korean SRPG

Pretty sure this is every character you can recruit - The vast majority of which are girls. Decide for yourself if they're cute or no. Also is that Leton on the far left? Don't recognise him when he's not being a hunchback.

Dune: Spice Wars - 4X/RTS from Wartales developers

Ecaz has fuckall unique mechanics, Ix has more involved stuff. That DLC is way overpriced though. They also released a sizeable patch with a significant change to combat and a lot of other mechanics, including the new Hero units, so now you can have Duncan Idaho fight Rabban on the map.
