I don't think I've ever set it on the very lowest setting but I believe you, I always set it to 3 or 4 notches from the left.

Maybe it's the remark about the lack of turn based games. I'd love more turn-based dungeons and dragons games like temple of elemental evil in which positioning is actually relevant but they simply don't exist. We've got many 2nd edition AD&D games in which positioning is irrelevant and for...

Well you can simply use the invisibility spell. I know you're burning up a spell slot but its still cheaper than a potion, scouting didn't seem valuable to me anyway so I never did it during my playthrough of baldur's gate or baldur's gate II. If I have to fight the enemies I have to fight them...

For scouting you can just use invisibility and backstabbing doesnt seem too useful as most enemies are in groups, you'll just get detected after assassinating an enemy or two right? I'd rather get detected by the enemy after casting fireball and killing more than 1 or 2 of them.

Depends upon party composition, with a cleric undead are a joke.

Did you never turn on the run option?

Most weapons in the IE games are garbage and the thief skillpoint allocation may as well be automatic as you're only ever going to use lockpick and disarm traps.

Yeah they put a lot of effort into a lot of little things like that. I love all the little tidbits of story you get about ancient Myth Drannor throughout the dungeon. No doubt, if it were just bugs the negative reviews would've ended decades ago when the 1.4 patch dropped. People fundamentally...

"The game was literally miles of identical tunnels filled with repetitive encounters." A criticism which can leveled against many wildly successful dungeon crawlers. "You have no control over your character development" Just like all of the infinity engine games. "unmodded/unpatched the combat...

You've got like 20 ft of leeway but yeah it is irritating that they didn't allow your party to separate like 50 ft or so.

Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor

No longer relevant with the 1.4 patch
