Random thoughts on whatever JRPG you're currently playing?

Not exactly a jrpg but i couldn't think of a better place to talk about it. So drakengard... The closest thing to this game that i have experienced is hotline miami 2. The same sense of exhaustion and depravity, the only difference being that this game just takes it to higher level. Rambling...

    Obsidian General Discussion Thread

It acts like drowning man, frantically splashing water to sides, doing anything just to stay on. They keep adding games after games, we barely have any info on their other "projects".

    Prolific writers in video games

But writers use this many words because they lack any other way to convey their thoughts in that medium, video games don't need to describe the scene , dont need to set the atmosphere by words (they do it by usage of music , colour or scenery), actions can be shown and that cuts down most of the...

Incline What mods do you recommend that are better than the core game?

A human bean 1 and 2. It's a mod inspired by the movie drive for hotline Miami 2. What Starts as a humorous parody about a worker at a bean company, later evolves into a serious story which was better than the second game. Some of the maps are sadistic though. Bastard of kosigan , a dance with...

Decline Do you think CDPR is capable of making a good game again?

Given their impressive animation record, they are better off becoming a anime studio at this point.

Game News Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous - Enhanced Edition Released

Even kingmaker still has some major issues, i played the game less than a year ago , somewhere along chapter 3 or 4 in some certain area , which was half of the chapter i couldn't save or quick save, only some of the auto saves worked.

Game News Esoteric Ebb is a 5E ruleset Disco-like where you play as a cleric unraveling a political conspiracy

On one hand there is the chance of getting true successors to planescape and some stand out story driven ones, on the other hand rpg market will be filled with poe tier description.

    Prolific writers in video games

I have been wondering what would happen if the trend of getting big name writers involved, actually caught on in the triple A scene and more professionals started writing scripts instead of recently graduated college students. Would it make any difference or just send AAA games more down the...

Fallout Fallout: New Vegas 10 Year Anniversary

There is no doubt that bethesda has milked the fallout cow to the extent that now it is nothing but a walking corpse, but that doesn't make obsidian games any better in my eyes. In my humble opinion, i feel that their newest games are soulless, even fallout 4 for how repetitive it was, had some...
