Heard good things about this game so I got it from HOTU and tried installing only to get a windows error about DosX.exe not being in the specified path or some such.

Searching the error found a solution which let me run the installation by enabling this line in my autoexec.nt file: lh %SystemRoot%\system32\dosx. I simply located the line and removed the REM preceding it.

The installation seemed to run fine, and the game will run, however any time I scroll the mouse close to the bottom of the screen the game freezes with the error: "The instruction at 0047d2dc referenced memory at 011a8141. The memory could not be read from."

I'm now a bit out of my depth, but has anyone had any luck running this game in XP? If so, what method did you use?

You're using the latest version of DosBox right?

All I can tell you is that it worked on Windows XP on my laptop a few years ago via DosBox. Take a look at their website often there are threads about games, sometimes fixes

OR you can learn to Google... http://www.kborek.cz/forum/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=1

This patch looks quite interesting

Nah, I downloaded the wrong copy. I always patch my shizzle.

Thought I got the one from the underdogs, but I ended up getting one posted on fileplanet because the HotU download was so slow. That file must be corrupted because trying the HotU one once it finally finished downloading worked fine.

DosBox is not necessary.

I just can't get the movies to work, otherwise I am good to go! Any help? It's a bink/smaker thing I think!
