This site has popups now? Everytime I access the NEws forum, my popup blocker tell me it blocks crap.

Not as far as I can see. Of course, I've got Opera in lockdown mode, but it's still not showing me the "popup intercepted" notification.

Perhaps you're getting an unlucky set of Flash banners?

I'd like to spend this moment and plug Opera. It's free now, you know--no more $30 registration fee.
Get Firefox - it's completely free and without any registration. Of course, the newly isntalled Firefox is pretty raw, but when you add up some useful extentions it becomes the best browser out there.

No, it's certainly spyware.
They just load up sites and banners in background. Very pesky.

I recommend that you use something like SpySweeper, but most importantly, you need a good firewall (not the windows shit). Sometihgn like Outpost will do.

I can't understand why people still use M$ Internet Explorer. It's practically an e-suicide. Use Firefox (or Opera) and worries about nasty spyware things installing behind your back are over. This is your second "line of defense", just after application firewall.

IE is fine if you don't constantly download random shit or visit strange porn sites.

I've never gotten a virus or spyware. I'm running XP, using IE, and I don't have any anti-virus program installed. I just have the standard windows firewall.

I've also notice that not having Morpheus or Kazaa makes my computer bug free.

Firefox can suck my phallus maximus.

I just hope you have all the patches installed and even then there are at least 19 unpatched vulnerabilities. Not to mention that IE does not support W3C standards.

For me it's Opera for ever. Now that it's free people can't really complain that FireFox is supposedly better.

Opera kicks Firefox's ass.
