Does it have elves? I like games with elves. Can I dual-wield like Drizzt? I like Drizzt, he's cool.

Kewl!

I can't wait to see MSFD's PR here when they have development for Fallout 3 up and running. Todd Howard said in the sideabar to the October 2004 Lame Informer preview that Fallout 3 will be "one of the most original and violent titles ever, and will be set in a familiar U.S. city" (Game Informer issue #138 p. 61)

Haven't played Fallout, but I did love Wasteland. We'll see how close to the original two games Bethesda's baby is. It could be as far from Fallout as Dark Messiah is from Might and Magic, or it could be like Oblivion to Arena, an imperfect reimagining that starts the series on a new footing.

I'm still hopeful about Oblivion, because it has the CS and because it's still not GTA: Cyrodiil City or Half Life Two. They do stress killing too much, but that's what the kids want. Me, I play RPGs to live another life, not take them unnecessarily.

Hey, yipsl, I notice you seem to be really ticked about Dark Messiah. Have you played Arx Fatalis? I had heard it was good, but similar to Ultima Underworld. I've never played any MM titles other than a demo of Heroes of Might & Magic 2, which seems to be further from a Wizardry-type game than Dark Messiah!

Arx Fatalis sucked as an Rpg. Detailed world but totally linear, straightforward like a used car salesman, no dialogue choices, horrible/annoying voice acting. It sucked, period.

Yipsl, MSFD has had that 'you're just here for PR' crap flung at him many times before on these boards, just have a look back. It's getting as tiresome for others to read as I'm sure it is for him to have to put up with.

Read the past threads he's posted in and you'll see the last reason he's here is PR.
