Having recently pursued the infiltration story angle in a new game, I have performed all of the quests they asked of me and did so in the manner that they intended. By the time I assassinated the head druid, I had thoroughly alienated both the Goddess and the Watcher in the process.
Events had progressed to the point that I felt secure in admitting to the druid's murder to the Watcher, and his response made it necessary to kill him. My question is, with the Watcher gone and Goddess forsaking me, are there any endings open to me aside from submitting to the Darkness?
I tried to pursue the Sanguineous Codex path afterwards, but it didn't turn up in the underground archives. Indeed, I've reloaded from several earlier games, one so far back that I had yet to deliver the necklace to Genwen, and tried things in a someone different, though with the favored druid's assassination being the common end result. In none of these attempts has the codex turned up.
Is it scripted to disappear under certain conditions or have I encountered a bug?
