Already pre-ordered this puppy. Who gives a fuck about EA, i loved previous BF games and i'm sure i'm gonna enjoy this one. Shogun 2, Battlefield 3, Saints Row and maybe Desu 3x , these are my picks for GotY this year. Battlefied 3 generates the most hype in me though, i can't fucking wait.

And fuck Red Orchestra, i'm not going to be forced to play fucking reds or filthy nazis. Jesus fuck, talk about nice design gone wrong.

Looks pretty impressive. And there's the "vault over obstacle" option which was sorely missing from Bad Company 2 with its glitchy environment composed of knee high rocks you couldn't jump over. I'm mostly interested in jets, though, because they look like loads of fun. Not realistic or anything (and actually way too slow), but still fun.

2nd screenshot looks quite good thanks to shaders but nothing other console shooters with PC shaders didn't offer.

BF3 certainly looks OK, but nothing a 3-4 y/o PC shouldn't handle on maximum settings.

Well, mainly because of the the destructibility, arcadey but fun approach to vehicles and a frantic pace (especially in Rush mode). It doesn't really target the same crowd RO2 does.

Oh, and I forgot to mention sound. Man, BC2 was very impressive in the sound department. I hope they do the same in BF3.

It's a PC game ported to consoles. And the console version is pretty gimped in both scope and presentation. TWitcher 2 (love it or hate it) is also a PC game ported to consoles, still, currently it's the fucking best looking RPG on the market. There are also plenty of PC exclusive titles which look sub-par to BF3, so that doesn't mean shit. BF3 looks good, not uber-fucking-amazing, but good. RO2 looks mediocre, has smaller maps, no vehicles and no destructible environment. Suck it up Skyway

BF3. Get hit 5 times, cover, regenerate health, run and shoot, get hit 6 times, repeat.

RO2. Get shot in the leg and crawl slowly, get shit in the gun, need to pick it up again, find a good spot to shoot and do it, perhaps be unlucky and get your weapon jammed, get hit by one bullet in the head or torso and probably die, or survive and die killed by the second bullet.

my favorite part of playing RO was trying to pick between Stormfront hosted servers and servers in Russia hosted by National Socialist groups.
