A good game to play with my nephew on the net/lan?

Guys, as those who frequent GD know, I'm currently trying out the Rio DLC, and with me here is my nephew, a NPC who likes to play games too.
One problem: He likes to play DOTA. I loathe fucking DOTA, and we don't know where to find other people to play.*
Any idea of fun online games (possibly with LAN capacity, we got a wireless network here) I can play with him?

*BTW, does anyone knows where one can play a decent game of WC3: FT melee and Werewolf/Dark Deeds outside of Battlenet? Nothing so far here on Garena, that laggy piece of shit.

Only game I consistently play online (Pokemon Online) is pretty terrible with people you know compared to random (Knowing your opponents team kills the entire thing)

I'd say Diablo/Diablo like is pretty good with a deadicated co-op partner. Love Summon Necro/Some Paladin as a duo.
