Risen 2 and Elder Scrolls: Redguard

Risen 2 is going to be based on the coastal pirate colony theme and the New World theme. And all the vibes for Risen 2 remind me of another pirate RPG I have yet to play - Elder Scrolls: Redguard.

If I play both these games in 2012, then this shall be the year of the pirate RPG for me.

But just to keep it all consistent, are there any other RPGs with pirate themes (which are good) that are waiting to be played? (I am guessing that they'll be quite obscure, because how many such games are there?)

Sid Meier's Pirates! is an RPG because it contains romances and emotional engagement.

Well, Gothic 2 Night of the Raven is the only one that comes to my mind, at least at the moment.

There's a portion of Baldur's Gate II with pirates.

Akella-s Sea Dogs series are decent games if you can get past the bugs and get a hold of fan made mods.

Yeah the mods for the Sea Dogs games are actually quite good and worth trying out.

Pirates of the Sword Coast module for NWN is about, uh, pirates. Ages since I played it but I think it was all right, nothing amazing though.

If you can get Redguard to run on a modern machine be sure to let me know. It crashes on a certain level if run in DosBox.
