Here is something interesting. Normally, the penalty for treason was death in the colonial era, even or especially for British officers. But the Indians in the Japanese-invasion force? Pardoned. Every one of them. They walked as free men after the war.

What a bunch of colonial bitches. If they were truly against the Empire, they would have accepted their death penalty rather than take advantage of colonial mercy and privilege!

EDIT2: So, just to make this perfectly clear: However I feel about the FBI as world police, it's already perfectly possible to fight piracy with the tools at hand (just like we Germans didn't need internet censure to fight child pornography) and further legislation for internet censure is absolutely superfluous. Or at least it's superfluous for the fight against piracy (and child pornography and whatever else the would-be authoritarians can come up with), but censure is of course perfect for fighting democratic revolutions, dissent and stuff... What's worse - ACTA will not only censor the internet, but as well drugs (!!!) - you cannot sell the cheaper drug with the same/similar effect if another company has a patent for it. Prices might rump up and many drugs banned. That's not the end: farmers won't be able to use their own seeds, they will have to buy them, because reusing their crops will be illegal.
