Baldur's Gate Two: Mods

Alright, I have Finally gotten Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn, and the expansion. I've played through about half the game beforehand [Reached the underdark] so at least I've been able to enjoy it somewhat, even though that time was brief.

But now that I actually own the thing, I'd like to know what kinds of fantastic mods people have created for it. As well as the Codex hiveminds' recommendation on which to download.

[Now, before you get your panties in a knot about the search button, I already did, and it came up with several bajillion Oblivion posts. As well as a post about kittens and Half Life 2 stuff.] What any of that has to do with Baldur's Gate beats me. I probably just misused the search function or something.

I enjoyed BG2 a great deal, but after playing BG, BG2, and TOB consecutively I never got the urge to go back and play any mods with them. It would just be too much, like watching the LOTR movies in a row and then going back and watching the full, extended versions.

The search function is somewhat screwed, but there have been a couple of mentions of Baldur's Gate 2 mods in here. Check this post and this one as well.

Can't recommend that much since I rarely play mods, including BG2 mods. I did try that mod baby arm and LlamaGod mentioned though but I found that while it gives some more character to the void that Imoen was in BG2, it also feels very contrived in the premise for doing so.

He he ... that remind me of shock posting when someone asked for a Iomen romance, someone mentioned she was the bhallspawn sister and I correct then saying she was only her half sister.

That was in BIS forums even when they were moderated by the Nazi Squad when Overseer decided he did not give a fuck and allow a fan club to pretty much run the forums.

Well, there's extenuating circumstances to this type of "incest". I mean, okay, you happen to be two spawns of the same evil god, and the two of you spent your entire childhood as if you were siblings, raised by the same foster father, and it's mentioned many times that Imoen is just like a sister to you, but that doesn't mean she's your sister.

I mean, come off it already, it's not like any of you can honestly say you haven't fancied your siblings, and this wonderful mod gives you the chance to roleplay that unique experience, without the hassle of inbred mongoloid children, and relatives who can't understand such things on the same sophisticated level as you.

There's been some serious debate about these things though, discussions so important they've been going on for years. Like whether or not Irenicus raped Imoen, and whether or not she might have liked it.


Oh, and on a more serious note, http://www.baldurdash.org/ has a nice fixpack for squashing bugs in addition to the official patch, and http://www.pocketplane.net does in fact have some decent BG2 mods, as does http://www.weidu.org and http://www.gibberlings3.net . Those sites' mods are generally well-tested and balanced, and the ones that aren't are easy to spot and avoid. And of course, there's http://sorcerers.net, our nice hosts and overlords, peace be upon them.

I just want to point out that the people who make those incest mods, discuss the circumstances and potential raping of your sister in the game, and if she was arroused by being raped.. Are the same people who make fun of Fallout fans for being crazy.

Power Action Leprechaun Annah - A modified Annah for your game. It replaces the animated sprite for her with a new one where she has two clovers instead of punch daggers, a leprechaun hat and green leather armor.

Almost makes me want to replay PST again.

Incest is incest ... I like hentai games and all but there are limits.

I know that BG2 ToB have a part were Virconia very much says Imoen sould have sex with the Bhallspawn and I always be amused of the pointing out Imoen was just half sister without any futher comment always made people post that it was still even when my post never mention about being right or wrong.

My memory is foggy but I think good old "DaveG" (who did ToB) even fallen into that one ... I guess its ok for Drow to show incest relations but wrong to half human/half god and half *something*/half god.

I think most people can honestly say this. I think it is natural when you grow up with someone you do not ever 'fancy' them, sister or no.
