Except for having no bear cavalry, this mod is right now the closest ever you can get to turn a character to the almost literal embodiment of the Rule of Cool in Mount & Blade. Once I get the time to find a dinosaur as a mount for Phelot and buy some Ninja equipment in Nippon...

SKELETON NINJA DINOSAUR RIDER

:M

Also, the reason the Pirates are usually the weakest faction in this mod is that the AI was never designed to handle properly a faction that has no cavalry but whose infantry is capable at both ranged and melee combat. The key to win with a mostly pirate army is to never, ever charge, even with numerical superiority, but instead to employ defensive tactics at higher ground, and preferably, use the "hold fire" orders to ensure they only start shooting the incoming foes at an ideal range for maximum lethality. Also, paradoxically, they stand a better chance against cavarly if spread out over higher ground because that way, while some are engaging the cavarly at melee, most will be shooting at it. And their pikemen branch sucks by the way.

Pirates, Ninjas and Skeletons

Nox Arcana: Dead men tell no tales

RxN3D.jpg

Hell yeah, Street Lethal made so much fortune from their looting that the shopkeepers in New Altdorf couldn't afford to buy it all at once. Thus instead Phelot decided to purchase some proper equipment for it and Bastich too.

pANKo.jpg

Not even in death does duty end.

Not bad, although something else would look cooler:

DromEd_Object_Model_haunt01.jpg

Uk3Zt.jpg

zt5OH.jpg

A ship and many bottles of rum were bought as well, of course, which would speed up the travels of Street Lethal drastically, and also turn them naturally into more than a gang of landlubbers: Now they are pirates too! And some of the Nippon recruits just need to become veterans of a few more battles to gain enough experience to become... NINJAS!

cNV04.jpg

The remaining wealth after all the purchases of better equipment was of course directed into investments.

tna67.jpg

That is as much Dakka as you can get in a package that can be used while mounted. Now that the old pirate Crispy got a cool pistol, he will begin to really show who rules over land and seas and the best thing is, it can be used with a shield. Aye, aye!

F5PR1.jpg

More men were hired. Caravan guards might now look that good, but with enough experience as battle-hardened veterans, they'll eventually turn into the mighty grudgebringer cavalry.

T4DMk.jpg

Realizing their tight spot, the pirates wisely signed a peace treaty with the Lizardmen, which means they will now focus fully their efforts against the Empire.

6Ad0J.jpg

In spite of the rants of a ghost called Lyric Suite, who always accompanies Phelot, on how wommyn are naturally inferior for fighting, it still decided to hire Amazon Warriors, always looking to their eyes... if they were located at their bosoms. After all, despite being a Skeleton, old habits don't die that easily.

According to /tg/ there are in certain dark corners of the Internets Warhammer Fantasy fan arts depicting Amazons being raped by Lizardmen... but I'm not sgc_meltdown or Draq, so don't ask me.

:what:

8RhvK.jpg

A volcano of beer and a lake of rum! Obviously impossible outside of the ideas of what Heaven looks like according to certain obscure cults, but producing lots of beer will help getting close to the former. And after there was no more gold to invest, it was time for more looting of course.

s51j2.jpg

Along the way Crispy mentioned the place was familiar

3pRZG.jpg

3yGgf.jpg

What the fuck did Crispy drink? That makes absolutely no sense*

*Actually it's the dialogue for another NPC, a skeleton obviously, as the mod is forever unfinished and thus have some bugs like this misplaced dialogue.

And while they were looting the pirate village of Wildshore, some pirates arrived in an attempt to stop Street Lethal.

llhwp.jpg

Crossfire

And this time, they were seriously outnumbered, but on the other hand, most of the enemy forces were farmers who would be massacred, and through a superior battle discipline, they can and will prevail!

J8cfT.jpg

Confident in their victory, the pirates and revolting peasants charged, while Phelot ordered everyone to fall back and hold their ground behind a mound for a very good reason. That hill would make it impossible for the pirates to shoot at the infantry with their guns, and with the infantry just behind the mound, once they got the infantry into their sight, they'd be at melee range already.

RFfud.jpg

Behind the infantry, the archers and gunners would be ready to slaughter them in a barrage of bullets, bolts and arrows as soon as they showed up on the top of the mound.

mtBvx.jpg

The tactic Phelot employed was working perfectly, the fools thinking they were retreating charged mindlessly and were being slaughtered, while, due to the overprevalence of firearms, Phelot decided to engage the foes with its hand crossbow instead of charging until they were softened lest it falls in battle and compromises their coming victory.

kgNGq.jpg

Guns and bows work nicely together. The nicely positioned line of shooters prove itself decisive to bring massive casualties to all the pirates during the battle of Wildshore. But eventually, Phelot is hit by a bullet and falls down.

BJmVQ.jpg

Nevertheless, the enemy forces were crushed, and Street Lethal continued the battle without their boss.

p35SC.jpg

With predictable results. Time to bask in loot again!

C21un.jpg

Unfortunately the pirate captain who tried to defeat Street Lethal escaped, but the profits from another pillage will make such detail be forgotten soon.

eB5cC.jpg

No gang can match Street Lethal in both coolness and diversity. Pirates, Ninjas, Skeletons, Orcz and more. Who could stand a chance against such a combination?

W2BeU.jpg

The looting of Wildshore was once again interrupted by another pirate, and Street Lethal was still weary from their previous battle. Phelot however, confident in the power of Street Lethal, refused to retreat.

h5DSD.jpg

This time they were less foolish than before, advancing through the flanks and shooting from the top of a hill. This could get complicated, but Phelot rapidly adressed the situation, getting his men in positions where hitting them would be more difficult and forcing the pirates to get closer, while killing some with its crossbow. Eventually, again the tactic was successful and disciplined lines of infantry and shooters crushed most of opposition, and boldly Phelot circled around the hill where the last of them were located to charge them with its lance.

VVf92.jpg

Here goes nothing.

gJa5g.jpg

They were crushed, again! Victory!

vqZmq.jpg

Now hopefully they won't try to stop the pillage again.

Uj1NR.jpg

This time the loot was much poorer than before, but it's still decent and will compensate for the good men who fell, including the only Ninja.

:(

Street Lethal continues to prosper as a mighty gang.

ZKSvo.jpg

The Empire was assaulting the pirate fort of Black Rock while Street Lethal was looting Wildshore. To give them a hand Phelot marches to Black Rock.

kd0Jo.jpg

Looks like the battle is almost decided, so it's time to lend them a hand to finish the pirates.

nRZU8.jpg

empire2.jpg

FOR THE EMPRAH!

E8g6z.jpg

And thus, from a skeleton budget to a rising legend, Street Lethal emerged. The war with the pirates was far from over, and likewise, the profits that could be earned from it. Emerged victorious in two battles against numerically superior forces, they now secured their status as the mightiest gang of mercenaries in the New World. The loss of a Ninja was tragic, but soon more Ninjas will rise under the coolness of their group, and more glory will be achieved in battles against numerically superior forces.

Just wondering whether you can tell me in detail what game is this & what mod is being used, and how to get them, either a legit or mutant copy, for it seems very interesting.

A Beautifully Desolate Campaign
Mount and Blade Warband, Version 1.143 (Steam updates automatically, fuck that shit), the Mod is named "Warsword Conquest". You can download the older version from the official Paradox servers though and use your CD-Key (in case you actually buy the game).

It's a lot of bumps. But you gotta figure, each bump gets us closer to unwrapping those lady-mummy's bumps. Good stuff.

Considering the ultimate goal itt is for Phelot to become the King of Kings of Africa the Southlands, the song linked in this update just fits perfectly. And the video that accompanies it is naturally taken from Warhammer.

By the way, the Pirates are unbalanced, of course, but they are by and far the best faction for winning sieges: you just build an army where everyone has ranged weapons, have them holding their positions in spread out formations near the fort and wait as they gradually slaughter all the enemy forces exposed, and the AI is too dumb to take cover instead of sticking out near the siege ladder like bullseyes. Then eventually they get pissed off and charge, which makes it even easier. 1/3rd Shooters, 1/3rd Pirate infantry with guns(Duellists and Quartermasters in particular) and 1/3rd Empire Cavalry is probably one of the most powerful combined forces you can make here.

The Staff

King of Kings

YdtpC.jpg

After the victories and looting, Phelot returned to imperial territory to both sell the results of the pillaging and to recruit more soldiers to make up for the several casualties Street Lethal suffered in the attempts of their enemies of disrupting their pillage. The profit this time was not as incredible as in their first looting, but still decent. After selling all the loot, Phelot visited the tavern to check if there was anyone worth recruiting there.

NNlsa.jpg

He found an interesting wizard instead, who for some funny reason lied at first he was a book seller, when in truth his merchandise was of a much edgier nature than books. A wizard selling a collection of allegedly legendary and magical weapons in the New World Markas the Wise is.

eCGRT.jpg

And among all his impressive collection, one item drew far more attention to Phelot. It looked exactly like it, in fact, as the Wizard allowed it to touch the staff, an aura of malice so great emanated from the weapon its bones shivered and for a long time since dying, Phelot remembered what is fear and terror again. Nevertheless, although wicked, the Staff of Nagash, the necromancer who wiped the once prosperous Tomb Kings Empire and left nothing but the corpses of his victims, is a mighty weapon, its touch of death capable of killing many in one single stroke, specially when combined with the momentum of a charge. However, would Phelot be able to contain its vile aura and not be cursed and corrupted by it?

Unfortunately, that answer won't come right now as the Staff of Nagash(which Markas insists on being the REAL STAFF OF NAGASH), is way too expensive for the current funds of Street Lethal, and Phelot's bones lack enough strength to be able to properly wield such a mighty weapon anyway. Yet, it hoped to meet Markas again once it is ready to wield THE STAFF. There was a tournament going on in New Altdorf as well, and this time it decided to try again, and not make the mistake of limiting his maneuvers with the staff by using it with a shield, and that in spite of it being wounded and not fully recovered from all the battles.

IN5D6.jpg

Except when it could charge from afar and use the staff properly to deliver significant hurt.

nLmqK.jpg

Being able to fight with the staff through a vastly more flexible manner more than made up sacrificing the shield, and the victories were piling up. Phelot emerged victorious through two phases, with eventually 16 fighters left.

Bph00.jpg

It tried to organize his tournament mates into a smart team, letting the others fight each other and only engaging at melee to finish off what's left of them.

1EJkH.jpg

However, there was one very important fact. Its odds of success would only depend exclusively from its own actions once Phelot gets to the final match. If it gets unlucky, it could end with several rivals piling on it.

jKQdw.jpg

And in the third match, Phelot's team was utterly incompetent and failed, leaving it alone to fend off several foes. Fighting bravely, it managed to take down the first one,

fhoxK.jpg

But shortly after the first of them fell, the other striked Phelot faster than it could block, and there was even another one. At the moment all the team mates fell, its defeat already happened. What a shame.

QVon4.jpg

After a recruitment drive and another failed tournament, Phelot ended in the imperial city of Domenica, where it rested to recover the broken bones and the wounded soldiers. When Street Lethal was finally ready for more action, A great battle was happening for the recently conquered Pirate stronghold, the pirates breaching through the walls. Phelot sailed to Black Rock to check the situation of the battle and then decide whether to provide support for the Empire or not depending on the odds.

S8KQ5.jpg

Cry of the Black Birds

The pirates were driven out of Black Rock and engaged in the open, where they would be much weaker. As they were vastly outnumbered, Phelot decided to take a share of this glory, and also contribute by ensuring the forces of the Empire will take lesser casualties through the tactical wit of making its small force make a major difference.

o3sa0.jpg

The Infantry and shooters were ordered to hold their ground to the left flank, the former protected by some minor terrain elevations, and ordered to protect the shooters against enemy melee fighters. All obviously were in loose formations to reduce the effectiveness of the enemy firearms.

Then Phelot waited for the forces of the Emprah to charge into battle, with its small cavalry following the boss. As the swords clashed, Phelot boldly charged against the lines of pirates.

oDPfN.jpg

Although initially the pirates delivered significant casualties in their volleys of fire, once the battle became a melee, they begin to suffer heavy losses, specially as Street Lethal shooters provided fire support from the left flank uphill. Phelot, in spite of more than one of them trying to shoot it, continued to ride across the battlefield followed by his two skeletal buddies.

GO2sX.jpg

The excellent riding skills of the boss helped for sure as several musket and rifle shots missed the skeleton and the horse, and at melee, they simply had no change, much of their lines being broken by the mighty Inner Circle Knights as well. Phelot became a killer in this battle of Black Rock, and had a very important role in putting the enemy in disarray, even as all the other skeletal cavalry fell.

bEnNz.jpg

After slaughter over half a dozen of foes, Phelot took down one of the Pirate Captains, boldly proceeding with the attack despite being a very sought target by the pirate gunners. The loss of one of their captains shoved their already weak morale even further down, but in spite of that, they were quite brave for pirates, apparently determined to fight to the last man here instead of retreating.

P2H2k.jpg

However, eventually the horse was shot down, and a massive horde of pirates charged at Phelot, who was not athletic enough to keep them from completely overwhelming it or to run to somewhere with backup. The boss fell again, after fighting with utmost bravery and setting up the grounds for a devastating victory, for at this point, the enemy resistance was completely routed and disorganized, their lines broken thanks to the bravery of Street Lethal and of the Knights of Sigmar.

quoZK.jpg

The first phase of the battle was won with relatively small losses for Street Lethal, considering the scale of this battle. However, there were more of them to finish off, and Phelot was too broken to participate of its conclusion.

t9non.jpg

But Street Lethal, inspired by the valour and honour of Phelot, charged together with the imperial forces against the remaining forty and such pirates, achieving a devastating victory.

h0TdV.jpg

And even better, this battle became profitable as well, because Captain Nathan Hawkins, who was struck down by Phelot's bold charge, was naturally captured by the gang, and will experience their hospitality until the Pirate Kingdom offers a generous ransom for the Captain. With the battle over, Street Lethal travelled through the Empire Colonies to recruit men to fill in for their casualties, and then rested in Black Rock to recover.

poIno.jpg

Oh... that is not profitable at all, to wait doing nothing for days while the marshall is assembling an army, or to be forced to follow this army on land rather than to travel by sea. Better to wrap up as much profitable warmongering as possible during the four days they have to answer such call.

feo2U.jpg

Realizing their demise, the Tomb Kings also go in for a killing blow. The Pirates are in a tight situation.

RjD4b.jpg

The Marshall proved to be an incompetent buffoon, what a surprise.

For Street Lethal this is good news, because it means they are no longer obliged to follow the marshall pointlessly instead of looting villages for blings. In the next day, they casted their sails to raid another one.

jMQzc.jpg

Emer was relatively isolated from the other Pirate strongholds. There was even a chance of no battle being needed for this.

3GxeP.jpg

PROFIT!!!

KhKgz.jpg

Not the best pillage, but not bad either. Why stop at here? As soon as this gets sold, another target will be located and pillaged.

v83To.jpg

The Pirate holdings in West Southlands could be good targets. They probably don't expect such a bold action far behind enemy lines.

T0TDC.jpg

Or maybe it is not such a good idea. Upon realizing the size of the Pirate army protecting this region, they immediately set sail away from this region.

PiSQp.jpg

Hopefully this Count won't bother the gang with futile calls. There was another relatively isolated pirate stronghold, in the same island where their town of Shadowport is. It would be very bold to loot there, but being bold is a fundamental part of being Street Lethal.

WayIG.jpg

While one of the villages around Shadowport was looted, the skeleton was reading a book calmly, as the Pirates rushed to counter this, but they were too late already.

UolKL.jpg

BOOZE AND HOOKERS!

With the extra denars made from selling all this loot in one of the Lizardmen towns, Phelot wisely sought to purchase another business. It met the guildmaster of this Lizardman town, which funnily is a bald human, but why would the Lizardmen allow a human to be their guildmaster...

reptilian-shapeshifter.gif

Unless...

I8L1n.jpg

This is enough to almost cover all Street Lethal expenses. They are almost becoming self-sufficient. This couldn't be any better, whether the guildmaster is a Lizardman who shapeshifted into a human or not.

Maybe it would have been better to purchase the Staff of Nagash, but Phelot isn't strong enough to wield it properly yet in any case, although now it is strong enough to don dark elf armor, no matter how ridiculous it looks on it, thus what will happen once the boss touches such an accursed but immensely powerful staff will remain as a mystery.

I do like investments but the reality of it is it takes a long-ass time to actually make your money back. 500 denars a week means it takes 5 months to make back that 10K. That's a long-ass time.

Still, it feels nice and secure to have a steady flow of income covering the army costs.
