Is this some conspiracy to kill all codex discourse?

Bit weird that he calls the Pathfinder card game a role playing game, but I giess in a way it kinda is.

Could have just called it by name as well.

Would you rather mention on your business profile that you're working on a role-playing game or a card game?

What happened to the whole Obsidian working on both a pathfinder card game and also a possible crpg?

I... fail to see the difference. Especially in a business sense considering how successful card games are.

They are still working on the pathfinder card game.

As for a RPG with Pathfinder that is still rumors. No one knows yet.
The Pathfinder CEO said something to the extent that they're hoping the card game is the first of a series of Obsidian Pathfinder games. So I'm guessing a cRPG is at some point in the future.

Hopefully not based on how well a mobile card game does though.

In the CRAZY world of video games, untill I hear the official announcement, I'm not holding my breath (see Obsidians VTM game.....) :M

?

First off this was from the beginning a long term propositon. Its a deal for the license itself. Not for the specific project. Its also stated as such in the initial press release.

I made a pathfinder pinball by obsidian joke when it was announced

Which also means sadly it does. The only thing preventing future games is financial support. And for bigger games they probably need a publisher/investors aside from paizo.

This ones already far more advanced though (even if that doesn't mean much if the question of who pays? is still open)

That still doesn't mean is a sure deal. I personally would LOVE a TURN BASED Pathfinder cRPG. Seriously throw that shit onto Kickstarter Obsidian.

I won't back a kickstarter game that is old IP. If they want to go kickstarter, they should do new IP TB.

Normally I'd agree with this, but I would back something that isn't trad fant, e.g. Delta Green, World of Darkness.

But asking for money upfront for a trad fant game when they already have their own original trad fant setting lol no.

For their next ks, Obsidian will probably think outside the box to deliver post apocolyptic, or if they're feeling really creative maybe space opera.

Medieval post apocalyptic. Evil has already destroyed the world.

I first read "Elvis has already destroyed the world"...

War over indecent rock'n'roll music exploded and everybody who wasn't a hound dog was returned to sender. The remaining humans live in the ghetto, which is centered around one of few old world relics - The Heartbreak Hotel.
But that's all right, as the protagonist (who ,apparently, likes a little less conversation a little more action) decides it is now or never and leaves The Ghetto to pursue the earth angel - an ancient entity that was to bring salvation, while it turns out to be.. A devil in disguise
