Love, create a server and copy-paste "sv_showlauncherqueries 1" (no quotes) in the chat window, if you get launcher challenges your server is live.
I get the same GeoIP message but people can join my servers just fine.

I tend to stay away from public deathmatch games these days because most servers are running silly mods, allow free look etc.

If you can't see your own listen server in the server list try adding 127.0.0.1 (+ forwarded port) as "Custom Server" in Doomseeker configuration.

Okay, thanks for the tip. I've had the problem, that nobody could see the server in the list.

We can play some vanilla style DM later or you can join one of our future co-op games if you want.

I would love to. But just so you know, I am a noob.

Played through Endless Torture with ND, I enjoyed this Ultimate Doom wad.

Difficulty feels more or less like the harder maps of vanilla Doom to me, there is no crazy horde combat or anything like that.
Beautiful, straightforward level design, we never got stuck, all levels "flow" nicely.
One of the ET maps is a remake of Quake's Castle of the Damned

Really good stuff, I will definitely play his other megawad next time i'm in the mood for some Doom.

This WAD is good , I especially like secrets placement and how I am able to find them by paying attention to surroundings , other WAD creators usually expect you to check every single wall on the level to find hidden items . My only complaint is lack of custom music .

New version of Crispy Doom! Among other things, it adds uncapped framerate, for those who like that sort of thing. It also includes a fix for the random pitch-shifting sound bug that was introduced back in Doom 1.4. A few ports, mainly those used for the recent releases of the game, avoid it but most other ports still have it.

Now I wish somebody would update the Crispy version of Heretic, Hexen, and Strife.

I just saw this on ModDB

Author of NeoDoom apparently released a sequel of sorts about a week ago. Weird shit, really: NeoDoom is rather well-known and yet I don't remember seeing any mentions of this anywhere. So, either every bit of talk about him working on another mapset somehow managed to fly right under my radar, or he decided to be completely quiet about it.
I kinda liked original NeoDoom, despite all the flak it has gotten.

Played through first three maps and yeah, it's a NeoDoom sequel alright. Textures from nearly every well-known 90s FPS, craploads of new weapons (some of them cool, other obsolete or having exactly the same effect as some other weapon), loads of new enemies (some of them pretty annoying, like extra fast plasmagun zombies, or rocket launcher zombies that can kill ya in a hit or two), generally heavy on sniping hitscaners and cheesy traps.
If you hated original NeoDoom, you can safely stay away. If you liked it... well, so far this is pretty much what you would expect from a GZDoom sequel.

In case you intend to play it: crouching, jumping and full mouselook are required.

Another thing.
Once player's health drops to 10 or so, movement speed is reduced to a snail crawl. Jesus, but that is so ridiculously retarded!

Yeah, that’s heresy. I can understand things like disabling the infinitely tall actors, though that breaks some encounters and traps on certain vanilla maps, but free look is just filthy.

I find it funny that romero is now the Game God creator of doom while John Carmack is the advocate of popamole. 15 years ago that was the opposite, since Carmack was doing his quake engines and Carmack was busy trying to figure out how to make you his bitch...

Why? Does it make the game too hard when you have to aim along both the X and Y axis?

Solid mapset, with some pretty creative maps and great detailing. First couple of maps are of the short-to-medium variety with low monster counts. There is a noticeable jump in size and difficulty at the midpoint, with some maps from the second half being really gigantic (there is one city-style map that, while it has great ambiance and visuals, is sure to test your patience). My least favorite map is easily map six, which is this huge, labyrinthine, dark sewer system from which player descends into even darker ancient crypt.
Map I enjoyed the most is map 8: large and beautifully detailed museum, with sections devoted to ancient Egypt, Mesoamerica, modern history... I was a bit stuck at the beginning however, as there is pretty much no indication as to what you're supposed to do. 'twas worth it tho.

Oh yes, another thing: author pulled one particularly trollish trick at the end. Ain't gonna spoil it tho.:smug:

Short animu-themed standalone FPS running on GLOOME, new branch of GZdoom. Worth a try, just bear in mind that it was made in about a month, as an entry on some indie game dev competition and a presentation of GLOOME's capabilities.
I played through couple of maps and it's alright. One thing that annoys me is how fast and erratic some of the monsters are, combined with slow rate of fire of your bow. Also, each map ends with a boss fight and well, they are of increasingly bullet-hellish variety (tho, one of the guys that worked on it jokingly called this game "TouhouNot-Doom", so 'tis not as if I wasn't warned).

For purists
Back to Saturn X, runs on any Engine, compatible with Vanillla:

For people that like modern Engines, Jumpings & Hubs
Unloved:
Silent Hill inspired, you got a Hexen Like Hub as the house you live in etc.
Best played with GZdoom + Beautiful Doom

For people that want to shoot a shitload of Mobs in a really hard Wad & dont
care about some misplaced Textures

Yeah i wish he would finish it as well, i mean unloved is really awesome just how the House changes is pretty cool, also its one of the few Wads where
the imported Sprites dont look out of place...

But i think that deal is over with himself actually earning some money on steam (Super Panda Adventure?) and switching to the unreal engine for
the next unloved.
