Have you ever played a cRPG before?

So you take a character with mostly ALL non-combat skills trained (and barely anything in combat), and you wonder why you died?
The MCA school of character creation in play

Try to beat the impossible.
Build a combat focus and never back down a fight in game.

Don't know I can survive 3rd town (only play early access up to end of 2nd town, kill that 4 arms bastard with only 50 reloads).

So far, streamline everything in 1st town.(is it just me that the game feel easier?)

I'm having some good results focusing on Dodge mostly with my Mercenary. The decent HP and frequent misses by the enemy have me sticking around fights pretty well.

This game feels like is played in the vacuum of space. Nearly no environmental sounds whatsoever.

I vote for Darth Roxor to do a review as it seems he's the only one that is not predisposed at sucking Iron Studio's cock.

That is a limitation of the Torque engine, not an oversight.

I vote for Darth Roxor to do a review as it seems he's the only one that always make edgy reviews and is predisposed to think like me, even though he doesn’t know shit about the game.

Fixed for accuracy.

Okay, it's Thursday; it's bought, and shortly I shall play it, assuming those rumours of it working under wine are true. Shortly I shall buy another copy because the worse half is too stingy to pay for games. :(

Hopefully I'll finish it before Grimoire comes out as I have a big enough backlog already.

:troll:
Sorry Cleve, couldn't help it. But at least you now have a reason to delay the game so you don't cannibalise each others sales.

OK, it's Thursday now so I bought it even though I shouldn't have. Worst developer ever, can't keep their promised release dates to save their lives. Obvious path of least resistance attitude.

Dude, how many RPGs are there that are released EARLIER than announced?

I waited only a fucking decade and damn, was it worth it.

I assume you have not played this before? And I think your current build is a bit too much spread out. You might want to try an all talky Merchant run through, or possibly an all combat Mercenary. Pulling off a fighter/talker hybrid would probably be better once you understand the basics of the combat or a talky walkthrough. Though ultimately, experimenting and trying different stuff is also fun (And that is what a GOOD RPG does).

You assumed correctly. I wanted my first playthrough to be exactly that: an underpowered drifter just going through the motions, exploring the world and seeking random opportunities as they appear. He's in for an early grave.

I'll make either a fighter or a talker next, but as you say experimenting and trying different stuff is one of the main things that makes RPGs fun!

I'm doing a talky Merchant. If I ever have to go into combat I am FUCKED. :D (well Alchemy *might* save me).
