FOSS games with "open world" or "nonlinear gameplay"?

Can anyone think of any open source games that could be said to have open world or nonlinear gameplay? Thanks.

Games I have not really played: OOlite, VegaStrike. Oh, and Star Control 2 The Ur-Quan Masters (on Debian derivatives like Linux Mint and Ubuntu: apt-get install uqm).
