<a href=http://www.thediscworld.co.uk>Discworld</a> posted a <a href=http://www.thediscworld.co.uk/kult.htm>preview</a> of <a href=http://www.cult.3dpeople.de/>Kult</a>, an isometric fantasy RPG. It looks like the game changed the name once again and now it's known as <b>Kult: Heretic Kingdoms</b>. I guess <b>Kult</b> and <b>Cult</b>, the very first name, didn't sound cool enough. Anyway, here is an interesting snipet from the preview:

Well, I like the God is dead and religion is heresy thing, and I definitely like the choices, consequences, and different endings. Do we have a cool sleeper RPG of 2004 here?

Maybe they changed the name to avoid being mistaken for the great Swedish Kult PnP RPG game. On the other hand, this the God is not here concept is not unfamiliar...

I could probably live with destroying everyone's (false) sense of hope about religion and the afterlife. If that happened, we'd be living in a much more realistic world where people actually place stock into their actions and think about what they're doing before they decide to proceed. In the world that we live in now, very few people actually give much thought into the consequences of their actions because they selfishly believe that everything will be 'okay' in the end, as they believe this world to be 'relatively unimportant' compared to the 'next', whatever the hell that is.

Trivial bastards.
