Was the vault tablet game thingy really that bad? The screenshots looked pretty cool.

Well it is time for someone to step the fuck up and do it...

Granted they would have to do ALL new original art and such so they don't do any copyright infringement, but it COULD be done...

There are no "10 Fallout games". There is Fallout, Fallout 2 and maybe (YMMV) Tictacs and New Vegas.
Fallout Tictacs was a glorious game.

I've even played it in multi. Also you could have tons of fan-made scenarios, including a last stand against an endless horde of cyborgs. Good times.

It'd have to be done in stages or take forever because I get the feeling a true port (with all locations/sidequests) would end up a p. huge game.

It looks almost perfect, it would have been better if they had kept the model for the securitrons. They stand out too much like that.

Grab the Codex by the pussy
Yea, kinda agreed with pippin, but I prefer the securitrons to be grey instead of blue

Holy shit now I really wanna play that game :negative:

Bet he got it off of NMA. But I mean anyone can build their own FO maps if they wanted to. FO2 and FO: Tactics tiles and sprites are available on the interwebz.

All you'd need is a tiling program, like Tiled, and you can put together a map. Then just drop the sprites on top using GIMP. Viola! Instant codex porn.

Securitrons look like shit. I'd rather see Terminator bots, besides anything is better than Gamebryo. Maybe I would change my mind about New Vegas writting if I weren't to see those terribly animated NPCs and have one voice-actor record dialogue for half of them.

I had one of those Gamebryo moments in New Vegas yesterday. Playing as Max Stone again, I confronted Benny in the Tops casino. After a short and ineffectual parley I proceeded to punch Benny into a fine paste and the casino naturally went apeshit. Nothing wrong with that. However, after I had depopulated said casino of its security and administration staff, the survivors inside almost immediately went back to whatever they were doing beforehand. Bodies lie strewn all across the floor but that won't stop some folks from hitting the tables. Even the cashier lady or whatever gave me a friendly hello just moments after I had liquified her boss with my fists.

The thing about Gamebryo and the Creation Engine is that they allow spurts of immersion, before inevitably kicking you in the back and squeezing your nuts in a most uncouth manner. It tends to wake a man up.

It just works.

Apparently, the fan-made TC Fallout Of Nevada has a bit of NV in it.
It has Las Vegas and Hoover Dam maps, but it has no elements of Fallout: New Vegas as far as I remember.
I honestly would be surprised if there WASN'T any new vegas models yet for Fallout 2 from the NMA community.
FOnline has some working 3d models from NV (riot gear, cazador, maybe something else). NMA F2 modders seems to be uninterested in NV (because it's too much like a wild west etc.).
How did you make these?
It's made in the FOnline mapper with Fallout 2 ui photoshoped on the top.
I don't think there is a Securitron sprite.

It's as fake as the screenshots.
