New Civ bundle, with Civ 3+4 at the cheapest level, and Civ 5 + DLCs + coupons for Civ 6 at the second tier. I'm thinking I might buy 3 and 4, although I haven't played this type of games since Call to Power. Wonder whether they're anything like the former, or just total decline.

Whats the better game? Civ 3 or 4? Pretty sure I wont spend a hell lot of time on either of them, but somehow feel an itch to try at least one. Last game of that sort I played was probably colonization

4 seems to be the fan favorite and it's also very mod friendly. but 3 was the first one i played and you know how that goes.

Codex 2014 Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy
Well I played all (except 6) in release order and 4+BtS remains my favourite. That's probably also the 'consensus' answer though there'll be no shortage of Codexers calling me a faggot for that opinion

Not that long ago I would have been one of them because Civ 2 über alles.

Then I got a chance to replay Civ 2 recently and while it's still good 20 years later, it's sadly hopelessly outdated in some regards and has been surpassed.

No comment on Civ 5 or 6 as I haven't played them, but Civ 4 looks and feels good, especially when compared to Civ 3.

Civ 1-3 is an evolutionary step each way, but the apex of the series is Alpha Centauri.

Civ 4 reinvented a bunch of things to be almost a new game. Arguably the best of the Civ games mechanically and of comparable quality to Alpha Centauri.

Civ 5 reinvented the series for casuals and Civ 6 continues this to the best of my knowledge.

They added Aurion: Legacy of the Kori-Oda, Void Destroyer and The Interactive Adventures of Dog Mendonça and Pizza Boy to the "Beat the average tier" (currently $7).

It's a little sad that Dog Mendonça and Pizza Boy is not available drm-free on the humble store (so the bundle only gives a Steam key) while it is on Gog.
Weirder, this bundle seems only to gives Steam keys of The Journey Down while the game is apparently available Drm-free on the humble store.

Nice bundle anyway, several games I want to try here.

I don't really know if I should go for the "beat the average" tier on the current bundle. Only Jotun and Dog Mendonça appeal to me. How's the codex veredict on these games?

I don't mind Dog Mendonça not being "top dog" among adventures, since i have an high tolerance for below average point-n-click adv games, and also the game being set in Lisbon and having nice graphics is nice.

Same here, the moment I got charged I asked for a refund. Which I did get despite FAQ saying that all Humble Bundle Monthly transactions are final.

Uh, is Two Worlds 2 (including DLC) worth 1 $CURRENCY$?

https://www.bundlestars.com/en/game/two-worlds-ii-velvet-edition

There is remaster coming somewhere in next two years. Maybe it will be free for current owners?
Still - better to get this thing from GOG and not deal with TopwareDRM or whatever that installation limiting shit is called...
Ah yes, I wondered about WTF is this:
Please note: Incorporates 3rd-party DRM: Reality Pump

Thanks for opinions, I'll pass!
