Tempted to get an old Wii U for BotW, Freeze, and 3D World. Or hoping the latter 2 get ported to Switch.

BotW is a much better experience on Switch (I have both versions). I wouldn't hold my breath about the other two being ported. Anything's possible though.

As for Super Mario Odyssey... It's a very fun, well-crafted game. There's a lot of variety between the different worlds, the "captures" provide some interesting gameplay mechanics, and there's hidden stuff everywhere. Much like BotW, the game nails it with the sense of discovery.

It is fairly easy though -- at least the main path through the game (or at least up to where I am). Some of the more obscure power moons can be challenging to get. So I doubt it will be very difficult to finish the game, but a 100% completion might be fairly challenging.

Finished it, there were some amazing moments for sure, new donk city festival level was 11/10, ending gameplay was 10/10

later levels are much harder (especialy the hidden ones)

Finally one hundred percented the game. It was a thoroughly fun ride, with the exception of those shitty jump rope and beach volleyball minigames, which made me want to kill myself. And the Darker Side of the Moon version of riding the bullets, which took me over a hundred tries.

Oh well, I still have Luigi's Balloon World rankings to perfect, and maybe a DLC will come out by then.

I've had Mario Odyssey for 2 months and still haven't played more than 15 minutes of it.

I play 25 year old games on Dosbox and various other emulators pretty much every single day.

Great purchase! :positive:

Beach volleyball can be cheesed with a 2 player trick controlling Cappy who has more precise movements which just makes it boring instead of infuriating so there's that for anyone else who has trouble with it. Also for the jump rope, use portable mode on the Switch. I was able to hit 60-70 consistently on the TV but as soon as I used portable mode I got 110 in one try since that minimizes input lag.

Odyssey was pretty piss easy for a Mario game but still totally worth it, best official Mario game in years.
