The only saving factor in Arcanum's combat was its speed. So in a TB mode fights were ending very quickly - and thanks to that it didn't annoy me to tears.

Actually my previous post was too negative it is a good game, just the dungeons and inconsistent quality of locations peed me off

I know this is kind of off topic, but I'm going to post something about Arcanum.

If Arcanum ever ends up in the dictionary, I think this should be the entry:

I thought it had one of the best main quests in an RPG... I would say only Planescape: Torment, and Daggerfall have better ones... besides, the last third of the quest is completely different depending on wether
you joined the Dark Elves or not
