It Wanted to Purge

This game was a platformer/dungeon where you had to find keys and goodies. All google results are dumbass pop sites which name we all know. Somehow I cannot remember for the life which one it was. In this game you jumped and avoided obstacles. Can you please tell me which one it is.

Castlevania maybe?

You need to give us more information. Was it old or new? A PC or console game? Any details about the setting? Was the art style anime-like? Linear or metroidvania design? Male or female protagonist? Any distinct features about him\her?

Sorry for being vague. It's a nes game, definitively not castlevania. It's a male protagonist.

Solstice: Quest for the staff of demnos

Fun fact: the music on this took up a larger part of the memory than the actual game.
