Sunday night in the Dome. Reliving memories a couple seconds longer, anger dissolves the last bits of caution you have left and you turn to your belongings; digging out a pack-vest and some sandals. Dressing quickly and quietly you shove your swipe and your I.D. into your pocket. In the mirror you slick pipers grease into your hair and push it down into spikes and curls, the central one splitting your forehead. You loop your vest straps around the sides of your speedos and tighten your bulge before clicking them secure. Very stylish. Reconsidering something, you throw your I.D. back with your belongings and then make to leave. Again meeting the gaze of Adymin you gesture at the door, a moment passes and he shakes his head and turns away from you with a smirk. And your gone.

Before the Cough Dome-workers would stay in dorms in alternating 2 week swings but now with lock-down all workers live inside the dome. Since when the cough hit you were on roster you got the dorms. Every other person outside still surviving after the Cough hit got the Bio-Help refugee camp. This includes workers, ex-holiday makers and some others- anyone who was immune to the mold. Working 7 days a week [5 hours on a Sunday, 8 the rest.] you have yet to visit there or anywhere in the Dome without the escort of your Master Piper, but you have heard stories. Some less believable than others and none that good. You and many others wait eagerly for news of family or friends, someone you knew who might have survived. Navigating your way through a maze of subterranean passageways the clomping of your footsteps on concrete and steel is slightly muffled by the constant hum of drip and drizzle and the squeaking of pipes. Claustrophobic hallways open up into abysses crisscrossed by pipes and machinery. Resting on a gangway railing your hands disturb icicles and you relish the bite of the cold on your skin as it sharpens your thoughts for a second. Raising your head to the cavernous gloom you smile, here with adventure and freedom the pipes are not bad you think, and the last vestiges of doubt about this excursion slip away. You figure the best way to the surface is by wading up a sewer into one of the rivers: here you can adopt an attitude of rambunctious entitlement that will hopefully be enough to deflect most curiosity. Then you have around 6 hours to explore and make your way back home in time for work. The places you can think of to go are:

1> "The Wet Box" - The Domes whorehouse - every male Piper knows and dreams of this legendary place. No gravity cubicles, cubicles with shower fluids of exotic admixture, dry cubicles. Its said the lobby is a vast sauna where naked women flit in and out of the mist. Your not sure if you can afford this but just having been there will make you legendary among your fellows.

2> You know all of the bottom floors of the pyramids have each one bar or club. Have a couple drinks, get to talking: with your natural charm this will surely lead into interesting experiences.

3> Well Lake - The Domes central reservoir. Parties and events are regularly held here and boats can be hired to visit some of the floating venues, houses and parks.

4> The Dome walls - Despite the thrill of adventure the past is not completely settled within you. Some reflection looking out into Tasmania would be nice.

5> Refugee Camp - Perhaps you can find some news on survivors. To know someone you know made it... or to tell a fellow that a relative didn't perish in the Cough...

6> Wander - Why rush out anywhere? Showerdome is a wonder in itself and you have it at your leisure for 6 hours. Anything could happen!

On your swipe you have: $183 Monies. A nice amount of savings outside the Dome, but inside? With things in as much chaos as it is you have no idea how far this will get you.
