I feel guilty for buying Paradox games 50%-70% off. Should just pirate them.

Who actually wanted Crusader Kings 3? I mean, is it really needed?

If this shit gets released anything like barebonesperator i'm gonna enjoy watching Paradox's tender Swedish asshole get cornholed.

Paradox are pathetic for taking out Deus Vult - How can the devs make a faithful game set in the period of "Crusader Kings" when they are ashamed of the crusades?

Might not even be worth pirating if they continue down this path.

This is one problem that paradox never stopped to think about in their quest for ultimate DLC jewry
People have zero interest in buying their games until all the DLC is out now, because they release unfinished games.

Map looks uglier than in CK2, those 3D people look all like ancestors of Greta and they axed Deus Vult! from game about Crusades era. What next? Victoria III without Imperialism and colonialism and HOI5 without fascist countries playable? Imperator Rome slavery was overlooked mayhaps cause slaves then were white. Looks like not even worth to pirate this one Comrades.

ALSO REPORTED YOU ALL FOR HARVESTING DEUS VULT!

IMO Imperator was barebones because it was a new engine test like Sengoku was for Clausewitz (which was also their first game on the new engine was Crusader Kings 2).

So this -should- have more content than Imperator, being an actual game and not an engine test.

Crusaders of Iron, they are bringing HoI level of provinces.

nygp24ce8ht31.png

Are those authentic medieval English shires and Welsh Principalities?

:nocountryforshitposters:

in 2020 Paracuck game with teen girls trained to be knights Comrade?

Da tak tocna' Anyways for me going to such low level of feudal ladder is :retarded: the lowest playable level should be Duchy (and some counties which were called counties despite being duchies like Norman Sicily, Portugal or French Flanders) other-wise its either too much micromanagement or game play itself and hence is too boring. This game brings nothing which will make me consider to switch from CK2 and also this infanicide in trailer about heirs this is Cosher but Deus Vult is bad we got whom you serve your swedish cucks after the satan magic is real unlike Christian prayers DLC already.

These crybabies internet slacktivists are almost as pathetic as the spineless cucks at Paradox. Outrage culture is a real thing.

This is a legitimate issue though, if you are trying to get immersed and tell an alternative history tale with your gameplay, this gets in the way. Although of course 90% of players just paint the map like retards, so maybe Paradicks just think of them.

Update – Henrik Fåhraeus offered this comment: “I feel like this issue has been miscommunicated thus far. We have not specifically considered which terms are used in the game apart from making sense in the historical context. The team will decide how any text fits or does not fit into CK3 in a way that feels appropriate.”

Looks like they are trying to save face.

It's a desperate cry for help that Paradox is unable to make new games anymore.

See, they have this giant turd of an archaic 'code base' that they're reskinning for every new 'game' they release for the past 15 years.
- They cannot overhaul the existing code base b/c they lack talent in the programming department
- They cannot invent new game mechanics - partly because of technical issues, see above - but mainly they lack talent in the design department
- They cannot formulate a vision and strategy to go from where they are now to next, 2, 5, 10 years from now, because they lack talent in the leadership department.

They're stuck on reskinning the same game over and over and over. They have created hell on earth for themselves.

Since Stellaris, Paradox is essentially a dead corpse. With Stellaris they had the chance to deliver something beyond another EU IV skin, throw away the old garbage, go skunk works and put out something that could be labeled 'PDS' vision'. Instead they decided on another EU IV skin.

The collapse of PDS is imminent. Just like Blizzard. And really, the whole late-soviet era style system we live in. Without vision and conviction you cannot make games, run a company or lead society.

Nah, they're leftist fuckwits that have no firm grasp of reality and gorge themselves on the Kool-Aid. They genuinely thought the removal of Deus Vult was going to be welcomed by their fanbase, because like every other liberal chimp, they believe in this fantasy that everyone is like them and believes the same things they do (which also explains why liberals and leftists can't understand the dangers of mass immigration, but that is a story for another time) and then act dumbfounded when people tell them to go fuck themselves.

Now they're backpedaling as quickly as they can because they fear the gravy train will dry up, while secretly plotting some other way to spit in the face of their fanbase.

The collapse of PDS is imminent.
Sadly, these subhumans aren't going anywhere. They have defacto monopoly in the little niche market they have created for themselves, and nobody else in the gaming industry seems all that motivated to challenge them.

The only thing that could kill Paradox for good is for a competent challenger to come along and take away their costumers.

Going by that Glass Door review timeline, this company is in absolute freefall.

I really need to read a book on how and why succesful companies always seem to transform into top heavy behemoths where the actual talent gets shunted to the bottom of the pyramid and treated like disposable trash.

CKIII was in development before Imperator. Anything remotely good (character-wise) in IR was probably stolen from CKIII and once they're done patching Johan's vomit design out it might be playable.

Imperator was ultimately shit because Johan is completely washed as a game developer and a depraved WoW addict

  • Medieval Ruler Simulator
  • Evolution of CK2
  • expanding the "breeding" game and genetics
  • Expanding on the permanent resource "dynasties"
  • better pacing
  • catering to different play styles
  • Characters are front and center and should feature in every gameplay mechanic
  • 3D "Sims" portraits with genetics
  • easier modding
  • CK3 won't feature everything from CK2, but will cut "less missed" features
  • "We are never going to dumb down our games", approachability vs. accessibility
  • Grand Strategy Game / RPG
  • Much deeper life style mechanics / character progression / skill trees / perks
  • New scripted content. Events should all be relevant / impactful / immersive, not all over the place like in CK2
  • "Dark Side Stuff" - Character Secrets (e.g. murder) / blackmail
  • Religions are now dynamic with hundreds of doctrines and tenets. Create your own heresies.
  • Scope of the map is bigger than in CK2 (not China - but Eastern Tibet), also further to the south
  • No nomadic system
  • No merchant republics in the release
  • The game will not feature a lot of supernatural / weird stuff in the beginning
  • Game rules will allow to turn them off if they are added later
  • CK3 will be a launch title on XBOX GAME PASS on PC (it's a PC game)
This makes it look a bit better now. Toning down the goofy stuff is good.
