Every turn takes 5 years, of course.
We can do better than that, comrade.

(Socialist song from the Golden Epoch called Cincinal in 4 and a half years.)

The only real communism is the turn-based communism. Never trust the real-time with pause social-democratic hypocrisy.
but it's neither.
True, comrade Wunderbar. It is socialism that is being built through honest labor. :salute:

You know, people are losing their shit when games vaguely try to convey any sort of left-leaning political message, but not a hint of a shitstorm when a dev is literally thanking Marx and Engels for their political education. Probably because the edgy neckbeards railing against 'politics in games' have never heard or read their names. Fuck, I love this game so much.

The comments on Kotaku are pretty salty.

They’re from liberals though.

Heh didn't realize they had four different acceptance speeches, since they won every category that they were nominated for (no way I was zipping through that 5 hour stream recording minute by minute).

Actually it's a good thing Disco wasn't put up for GOTY, since that category already had weeb shit in it and presumably VGA knew millions of rabid weebs would drown out any other type of game. VGA was the hero Disco needed all along, by only slotting the game into niche categories weebs would overlook and therefore it would surely win.

I took a quick peek at the headlines and Disco is getting a lot of attention because it won in the largest number of categories, beating out Death Stranding.

Lots of people seem to be hearing about it for the first time now too. This can’t hurt their sales.

That was brave. Surely they've lost all their friends, their jobs, and their personhood for declaring their love for Marx and historical materialism in a bathrobe.

Clip should be sent to the guy who footed the bill for Disco. Even back in the Soviet times, he was known to be very anti-Marxist.

I think the lady is Jessica Chastain.

On the off chance that you really don't know, that's Helen Hindpere, a terrific writer and every red-blooded Communist's long-distance crush.

Who is that guy actually?

Margus Linnamäe.

(There's no way he doesn't know about ZA/UM's politics. He just doesn't give a shit. As Comrade Lenin said, the capitalist will sell us the rope with which we hang him.)

I don't think he funded much of the bill on the promise of huge returns on investment, or anything. As I said, most financially oriented investors in the region would not have funded something like this. It is probably largely due to personal connections / other favors.

I don't think he gives too much of a fuck either about its politics as well, but seeing shout-outs to Marx & Engels must hurt a little bit of his soul. It does hurt mine a bit, frankly, but I don't doubt the awards themselves are well-deserved.
