I really like this place a lot

I'd still replay it if there was a remake with all of the stuff that happened only in text animated.
I'm tolerant with your opinion, but my flamethrower isn't.

That 10-question survey was bait, OP, and you took it. The best move is not to play, especially here.

To fully be initialized here, you need to play, in its entirety, GRIMOIRE. Once you're finished, then you can post again.

What’s the over/under on how fast this moron’s going to instigate some totally unnecessary (but admittedly enjoyable) drama that results in getting himself banned and one or more monocled posters leaving permanently?

Lurk more, and also please try to remember that trying to impress others by stating how redpilled and free speech you are is bound to make you look like you are a zoomer.

I just discovered this website a couple of days ago when googling around to see which Gothic game people liked the best. I wish I'd known about it years ago. The first thing I noticed here was the post ratings. Most of them are hilarious. When you can call someone a cuck without having to type it out you know you're living in the future. Then I saw that you can say nigger here. Then I saw a dev from a game I enjoyed posting.

Afterwards I did a little googling about this place and found a bunch of reddit fags complaining about how vile and racist this place is and how they can't even. At that point I knew I had to register. I haven't felt this at home since I found Voat. Except this place is even better because you guys don't hate vidya.

So thanks for existing I guess.

I give it a year or two.

It all depends on when he and Lilura cross paths.

One time Lilly was really laying into a newfag from 2018 and I felt like that kid in class who sat next to the guy being bullied/spitballed on and would slowly start inching his chair away from to avoid any association. God it was fucking terrifying.

Everyone's real quick to exchange niceties with the newfag, but let's wait and see what his opinions on

1) Turn-based vs RTwP?
2) Infinity Engine games from best to worst?
3) What do you think about each installment in the FO series? When does the decline start?
4) ELEX?
5) Top ten RPGs?

before we just welcome him in with open arms.

EDIT: Followups,

6) Underrail and AoD? Have you played, and if so, impressions?
7) Pillars of Eternity 1 & 2, opinions?
8) Disco Elysium?
9) Do you enjoy any blobbers, and if so, which?
10) Which Elder Scrolls games, if any, do you like?
Welcome Peachcurl . Would you be so kind to answer these questions too?

We need more pills. The virus must be erased from Codexia before it spreads any further.

I definitely won the Lilura arguments.

Thanks for the welcome. Let's see.

1) [Turn-based vs RTwP]
*Both can work well in party-based games. Both are better than slow motion, although it worked somewhat in Tower of Time.
*Both have little purpose in single-controlled-character games (Example: shooter-hybrids like Fallout 3. Thank god VATS was optional). I also don't like the somewhere-in-between system that Vaporum used.
*TB: balancing needs to limit the amount of time a battle takes, and the player needs to be able to disable/speed-up animations.
*RTwP might get away with larger group sizes (both the player's group as well as enemy).
*TB: AI has to be good enough to account for player-time spent on planning of turns / moves
*RTWP: AI design needs to respect that even the most meticulous player will not be able to do as much micro-management.

2) [Infinity Engine games from best to worst?]
BG1 > P:T > BG2 > IWD1 > IWD2
P:T is the more interesting setting and the better story, but I'll go for the polish of BG1.

3) [What do you think about each installment in the FO series? When does the decline start?]
I'll just answer this as the previous question, to avoid a wall of text.
F2>F1>F:NV>F3>F4>F:BoS
Never played any of the other games in that series.

4) [ELEX?]
Yes. Please.

5) [Top ten RPGs?]
In no specific order: Planescape: Torment, Witcher 3, Fallout 2, Arx Fatalis, Baldurs Gate 1, Diablo 1, Gothic 2, Knights of the Old Republic 1, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, Lands of Lore.

6) [Underrail and AoD? Have you played, and if so, impressions?]
AoD was great fun, interesting setting, and spears rock. I started Underrail, but it felt clunky and slow to me, never got far beyond the starting area.

7) [Pillars of Eternity 1 & 2, opinions?]
Like the first one, despite horrible balance. Stopped early and never finished the second one, I don't remember why.

8) [Disco Elysium?]
Did not play.

9) [Do you enjoy any blobbers, and if so, which?]
Lands of Lore (see (5) ) is a bit of a thing for me. It may be nostalgia, but I replayed it 3 times which is more than any other blobber. I'm glad they saw a bit of a revival with games like Grimrock. I'll even dare to say I like Bards Tale IV, although they should have toned down the riddles a bit.

10) [Which Elder Scrolls games, if any, do you like?]
I never played anything before Morrowind, I think. Morrowind was very enjoyable. I stopped Oblivion after some stupid and boring escort side quest (may be unfair to judge based on that, but that's where I left it). Skyrim was OKish.

This newfag started out quite promising but the rate of decline since then has been alarming. Anyone with bad things to say about Icewind Dale clearly has no worthwhile opinions on anything.
Lol okay. The combat in the IE games is trash and IWD is all combat.

Nano, I like you and think you absolutely deserve that :obviously:, but you are dead wrong here. IWD is the best IE game (I will concede IWDII is pretty weak though).

In my experience, boomers are just as likely to do the same, just using different words. It's virtue signalling and it's pathetic for any generation or creed.

Also, welcome OP, you Oblivion-apologist piece of shit.
